Some medications do have hair loss as a side effect. If you want to say what you are taking, I can better advise you. None of the drugs you mention have listed hair loss as side effects. Keep in mind that some people may have a reaction to a drug that is very rare and therefore not listed as a side effect. There may be other issues too. Stress from the pain. You do not say what kind of pain. If it is from a digestive problem for instance, you may not be absorbing nutrients. Is your hair breaking or falling out at the roots? Hair breakage again can be nutrtional. There is a condition called alopecia, that causes hair loss. Make sure you get very good nutritional support from food and vitamins, The drugs you are taking are being processed by your liver. Have some blood work done to check how healthy your liver is. Try to minimize stress, drink lots of water to help clean your system. Talk to your doctor.
Daniel asks…
My question is about hair loss, I have been losing hair for about four years, any suggestions, female 34, thx?
There is no apparent reason for the hair loss. Stress was a major effect, but my stress levels have been reduced this past year. Just wondering if there are any natural remedies anyone is aware of to perhaps stop the hair loss. I had a lot of hair and so the past few years, it didn’t affect me so much, but now I am quite worried, I don’t put chemicals or color my hair. Thank you for your time and effort.

*** My Success with Natural Techniques To Re-grow Lost Hair
Been on minoxidil ( R0gaine® ) for about a year and a half and have not seen even the smallest amount of regrowth that i almost fell into depression.
My hair only started visibly growing on the bald spot after skeptically trying out the various natural techniques to re-grow lost hair @ http://www.regrowmyhair.info
I would highly recommend this easy to follow step-by-step guide with pictures to anyone who is suffering from hair loss right now. But remember this isn’t a miracle cure for baldness as you will also need to put in some effort in order to see results. And its only a minimum commitment of 15 minutes a day to help re-grow your lost hair.
Anyway, its also a cheaper and effective way of re-growing lost hair compared to those unnatural ways which may involve harsh chemicals that may have side effects.

What can a doctor do against hereditary hair loss?
I’m 19, male and I think I’ve got an early stage of hair loss. What can be done against it? Which doctor to ask? Or am I “lost”?
sam smith answers:
Early on there is a lot you can do to slow the loss and retain more of your hair. First thing is to reduce your stress– hair hates stress! Next, you should probably see a dermatologist that specializes in male hair loss.
The doctor can test you for vitamin deficiencies (vitamin d, iron, and others can help speed up hair loss). There are prescriptions for preventing and slowing male hair loss like Propecia that your doctor can prescribe, if he or she thinks it’s a good option for you. Some people see results mixing prescription DHT-blockers with L-lysine, as well.
Selenium, MSM, Biotin, Zinc, and Vitamin B Complex are other supplements that are often associated with improving hair loss. Even though these are all over the counter, it’s best to learn about what you’re taking. Finding a doctor that takes your health issue seriously can help you find a supplement or prescription cocktail that is safe for you and doesn’t interfere with any other medications.
Finally, some dermatologists can treat you with red light laser therapy to help regrow your hair, if you’re willing to shell out for it.
Most of these treatments will only work as long as you take the pill or receive the treatment. If you stop the routine, the hair will continue to fall again. But if the hair loss is in an early stage, you have the best chance of holding onto more of it. Easier to keep hair than to regrow it once it’s gone.
Do what you can, but try not to think about it too much and stress yourself out.
Good luck!

Has anybody experienced hair loss with the Epilepsy medication Keppra?
I was wondering if anybody has experienced hair loss with the medication Keppra. Also for anybody who experienced it, is there anyway to stop or reverse the hair loss.
sam smith answers:
Anyway as you know – hair loss can be caused by many different reasons! Find out the actual cause of hair loss! There are many causes of loss of hair such as stress, poor nutrition ,medications, thyroid dysfunctions, illness, fungal infections ,hormonal problems, to mention a few. But anyway you can always try and get real results.
Year ago my husband suffered from hair loss too and he started trying everything you can imagine to stop his hair loss. The things that really worked for him was:
1) Vitamin A – an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;
2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The ‘B’ vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;
3) massage is also beneficial. Massage stimulates circulation. As already noted, good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Experts suggest a few minutes of daily head massage by hand. Circulation through massage may be improved by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base with massage;
4) Try rubbing your scalp with garlic juice, Onion Juice or Ginger Juice(you can either of one out of three, Do not mix any of two or three);
5) also used herbal treatment.in that case Provillus is a good product that helps prevent hair loss and it is an FDA approved product. I think it is very important!
It worked and still works for him!
I do not know if any pharmacies carry Provillus but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product at their website.
It restores hair follicles by blocking DHT!!!
Good luck!
