Is it healthy for hair to just use shampoo only?
For starters, I don’t know anything about taking care of my hair. I want to prevent hair loss and keep my hair as healthy as possible. I’m not experiencing any kind of hair loss at all right now. My question is, can you just use shampoo on hair and that alone will keep hair healthy? Is it healthier for hair to just use shampoo? Is conditioner necessary or does adding conditioner actually put your hair at more risk for hair loss? Is there any other hair product I should use on my hair to keep my hair healthy that I haven’t mentioned?
sam smith answers:
Conditioner is not really a must, but is great for every once in a while.
Do not shampoo your hair everyday, it can extract the natural oils in your hair. If your in sports or any physical activity then it is ok to shampoo daily to get the grim out.

Your hair is what you eat. If you eat correctly and drink enough water, 80 percent of your hair problems are solved. Eat a healthy and a balanced diet rich in protein and minerals. Oil your hair regularly, include a lot of milk, almonds and greens in your diet and drink at least 12 to 14 glasses of water daily. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.

is there anything i can do female hair loss due to malnutrition?
im 17 y/o female… i’m currently getting treatment for having anorexia… im eating now and i know i should be focusing on that but my hair is falling out in huge clumps and im afraid that eventually ill have nearly no hair….
so since im already eating which should help and its still falling out are there any special shampoos or anything i can use to also prevent hair loss?
sam smith answers:
Keep eating properly with lots of protein and vegetables. Something that would help you on avoiding hair loss and making your hair grow back and stronger is using Rosemary shampoo. This is great for strengthing hair and making it grow. Once you have it, add 5 spoons of honey to the shampoo bottle and let it rest for one day before using it. You could find this shampoo online or at organic grocery stores like Whole Foods. It’s not that expensive either and after the first week of use you will notice the results.
I wish you the best! ; )

Can you suggest a good hair product to apply after washing hair?
Everybody says that you should apply a product containing almond, olive and jojoba oil every time after washing your hairs. I am having hair loss and my thick hair has become thin. So can you please suggest me one such hair product.
Also if you can suggest me some methods (natural) to prevent hair loss and get back thick hair, i will be very thankful of yours.

EVERYBODY? I don’t use or apply anything for MY HAIR.
I just shampoo, when my hair gets oily, and blow dry, then brush my hair, and I’m good to go.
I don’t even use conditioner, we have soft water. When traveling, I briefly rinse (last rinse) with bottled water.
Hair loss is caused by many things. It could also be a bad reaction to supplements since you don’t know what’s in them.no agency in the United States approve of them. Because of inadequate quality control and inspection, supplements contaminated with heavy metals, pesticides, or prescription drugs have been sold to unsuspecting consumers. And FDA rules covering manufacturing quality don’t apply to the companies that supply herbs, vitamins, and other raw ingredients.
Beginning in February 2008, they experienced one symptom after another: diarrhea, joint pain, hair loss, lung problems, and fingernails and toenails that fell off. FDA has received numerous reports of harm associated with the use of these products, including stroke, liver injury, kidney failure, heart palpitations, and death. 3-15-11. Chemicals can cause hair loss. How you style what product you use to style your hair, can cause hair loss. Know the cause, before you find solution, eliminate them, and your hair will improve.
Even HAIR OIL, can do more harm than good, to hair. There are more hair oil on the shelf now, than 30-40 years ago, and it’s because it is a billion dollar business! There are more hair loss now, too, than 30-40 years ago!
There are many hair oil brand out there, man-made oil, none is better than the other. It can very well even harm your hair, even causes hair loss, since you don’t know exactly what kind of oil they say it is. In the lab, they add other ingredients that can prevent from spoiling.
Read the labels if they state that it contains like for fish oil: “one or more of the following: Cod, English Whiting, Shark.”
It does NOT make hair grow, it does not make hair thicker, it does help keep the hair moisturized, that’s about all it does, they’re not glue to fix split ends or reverse the damaged hair. Anything else they say on the label, it is to attract your attention. It is a billion dollar business and they do not give money back guarantee for damaged hair or hair loss due to ‘abuse’.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of Maharashtra is ready to go on record saying that most manufacturers in the Rs 3,000-crore Indian cosmetics industry are rampantly misleading consumers with tall claims. This affliction goes beyond hair oils. FDA has found that from face creams to soaps and other items of personal care, cosmetics companies are taking the general public for a ride. The industry, of course, sees the whole issue differently.
If you’ve straightened your hair in the past, it may grow slowly or none at all.
Google: “Foods for Healthy Hair” – Your hair may be the fastest-growing tissue in the body but, unlike the skin, it cannot repair itself. That is why getting the right balance of vitamins and proteins is imperative. Don’t expect to look like you’ve stepped out of a hair commercial the day after you’ve changed your diet. It is likely to take at least three months before you actually see tangible results.
Growing healthy hair doesn’t come from a bottle or pills and hair products do not speed hair growth. Any hair oil, is another form to keep hair moisturized, nothing more. If you’re in HS, your hair & nails should be growing normally, and as healthily as possible, since you’re eating healthy foods. But when hair isn’t growing as fast, it’s because they’ve been tampered with: chemicals, hair straightening, etc. . .
The hair industry is a billion dollar business, they sell products that cleans & condition the hair. They also sell products that damage and causes hair loss. They also DO NOT give money back guarantee for damaged hair or hair loss due to ‘abuse’.
