Tips for a girl to prevent hair loss?
If you’re not stressed, and you eat healthy and sleep well, basically are healthy…What do you do to stop your hair from falling?
I’ve been loosing a lot of hair for the past 2 months, and I don’t wanna be bald.
What things should I eat to prevent hair loss?

Trim at least an inch the split ends will travel up your hair strand splitting as it goes. You naturally lose 75-150 strands of hair per month. Hair grows an average of 1/2 inch per month. Warmer months more, cooler less. Age – younger grows faster, older slower. Take into account genetics, hormones, stress, diet, (protein is good)medication, damage to hair. Use good products not Pantene, Herbal Essence & Garnier they are silicone products. They make you hair nice at first but as the silicone builds up it locks out moisture your hair weakens & breaks. Use pro products they last longer because you use less so the extra expense is worth it. The shampoos don’t contain a detergent lathering agent so it’s weird at first because you are used to lather. Great specialty products are, Nioxxin,(for growth) Joico K-Pak Reconstructor also Silk Results, Rusk has New Pro Elements Keratin. Nexxus Humectruss & Keraphixx. Big Sexy has good general products. Take Biotin & Vitamin E. Don’t use “box color” it’s unpredictable & contains metallics that can leave permanent lines in your hair if you change color products. Go to Sally’s Beauty Supply they have more professional products & they can assist you in your purchase & the prices are better.

What are some tips for maintaining hair?
I have mid length to long light brown hair. It’s summer so im at the pool and in the sun every day. I blow dry my hair once to twice a week and i condition every day and shampoo every other. Please give me some tips to keep my hair from drying out, keep it smooth and sleek, and i’m hoping to naturally lighten my hair during summer, any tips for that would be great too !

For healthy and shiny hair, mash up an avocado, mix it with a tablespoon of olive oil, and rub it through you hair. Wash your hair after 15 minutes.
Build hair protein and prevent hair loss by eating zinc. Good sources of zinc include meat and seafood.
Your hair is weak when it’s wet, so never brush you hair or rub your hair dry with a towel. Instead, blot the wetness out with a towel and fluff it with your fingers.
Vitamin A keeps your scalp healthy. So snack on carrots, as they are healthy and full of vitamin A.
(Vitamin A can also help your nails grow and be strong.)
Vitamin E can make your hair shine. Good sources of vitamin E include: brown rice, nuts, wheat germ (eating wheat germ is also good for keeping your face clear of pimples), and leafy green vegetables.
I hope I was helpful. Enjoy =)

Here are some tips and advice on how to make your hair grow faster, longer, and healthier naturally:
Wash and condition your hair every other day using a high-quality moisturizing shampoo and conditioner.
Sandwich your hair between a towel and apply pressure to dry your hair instead of “rubbing” the hair with the towel, as this will cause breakage and split ends. Split ends and breakage mean your hair grows out slower.
Put a moisturizing leave-in conditioner into your hair, particularly in the ends of your hair to keep your hair healthy and to prevent split ends and breakage.
Allow your hair to air dry after every shower instead of blow drying, as the heat will dry and damage the hair, causing split ends that will require more hair to be trimmed to prevent hair breakage.
Spray a detangler into your hair once dry, if necessary to prevent breakage and split ends that will require more trims, thereby slowing the rate at which your hair grows out.
Brush your hair only once it’s dry (wet hair stretches and breaks, slowing the growing out process) using a natural bristle hair brush by starting at the ends and then moving up the hair once the ends are detangled.
Massage your scalp for five minutes at a time three times a day to improve blood flow to the hair follicles, which will make your hair grow faster.
Visit the hair salon once a month to get a trim to remove split ends; split ends will make your hair grow out slower because the split will travel up the hair strand, ultimately causing hair breakage that will slow down the process of growing out your hair.
Eat a healthy, balanced diet to keep your body in a healthy state. General good health and diet means your hair will grow faster and healthier.
Eliminate or cut back on smoking and caffeine to promote healthy hair that grows fast.
Excessive stress is one of the main causes for hair loss. So, explore different stress management techniques to relieve stress and get enough rest for your body. Consequently you can maximize healthy hair growth to some extent.
Vitamins and minerals play a very crucial and important key role in growing and keeping your hair healthy. Any nutritional deficiencies in your body will certainly contribute to hair loss. Few vitamins that are extremely important for healthy hair growth include Vitamin A, Vitamin B, Vitamin C and Vitamin E.
Use a moisturizing or volumizing shampoo and conditioner, such as Mane n’ Tail.
Excessive hair coloring or perming causes damage to your hair and handicap the healthy growth of hair. It will result in split ends, hair breakage and extreme dried out hair.
Since hair is a protein, diet that contains high protein can be helpful for hair growth. Some nutrition experts suggest that consuming wheat germ and brewer’s yeast can be helpful in maximizing the hair growth and strength.
Wearing protective hairstyles like French rolls or other types of hairdos are a good way to wear long hair, and mean you can grow your hair to the desired length.
Lol that turned out longer than I expected. Hope this helps 🙂

Helen asks…
what’s the fastest way to grow hair naturally?
im trying to grow my hair out, naturally, as fast as i possibly can so what are the best tips for that?
sam smith answers:
Let me start by stating that there is not a shampoo or conditioner that promotes hair growth unless is it prescribed by a physician and contains either “Rogaine”, “Minoxidil”, or “Propecia”. The only draw back to using these products is you have to use them for the rest of your life. If you stop you will lose what the product has grown in.
Normally you will lose up to 100 hairs a day; every 30 days or so you will lose more due to replacement, a new follicle is pushing an old one out. The most common reasons for hair loss is ether medication, stress, or illness. If you feel your hair loss is excessive you should see your doctor to make sure it is not caused by the latter.
The only way you can grow healthy hair is to eat a healthy diet high in protein (Hair is composed of “keratin” hard protein) and take prenatal vitamins (If you are an adult woman.) If you are male all you can do is eat a healthy diet high in protein and take hair and nail vitamins.
I had a client who was pregnant and taking prenatal vitamins and her hair grew twice a fast as normal. It normally takes about 6 to 8 weeks before you start seeing results.
Do not forget to exercise regularly. Not only is it great for you but it will get your blood flowing and feed the follicles fresh oxygen.
Hair usually grows ¼ to ½ inch every 4-6 weeks.
Shampooing
When you shampoo your hair you should manipulate your scalp vigorously.
In order to grow healthy hair your scalp needs to be clean; by not shampooing you are defeating your efforts to grow healthy hair. I recommend shampooing every other day using a shampoo for chemically treated hair; even if your hair is not chemically treated. Shampoo that has been formulated for chemically treated hair has less detergent than a shampoo that has been formulated for normal hair. Detergent will remove to many natural oils and cause your hair to be dry.
Shampoo will not make your hair thicker. In order to do this the shampoo would have to create more hair follicles in your scalp; man cannot create a hair follicle.
Split ends
Also you need to have a trim every 6-8 weeks to prevent split ends. A hair shaft that has a spit end is damaged beyond repair. If you do not have your hair trimmed to get the split end off they will eat there way up the hair shaft like a “Pac-man” and you will end up with split ends from tips to roots. There is not a shampoo or conditioner that will repair a split end. The only repair for a spit end is to have it cut off. While there are shampoo and conditioners out, that make the claim of repairing split ends all they do is put either a wax or plastic coating over the hair shaft; when the coating wears off the spit is back.
Thickening
There is not a shampoo or conditioner that will make your hair thicker. In order for this to happen the product would have to create a new hair follicles in your scalp. Man cannot create a hair follicle. The only options open to you is either hair transplantation or extensions.
In closing let me state that trimming your hair will not make it grow. Hair does not grow from the tips like grass; it grows from the roots.

Hope this helps.
