Men Growing Hair Out Stages

Having hair on the head caters for various reasons. Top on the list are beauty and insulation. Most of the time, we tend to concentrate fully on the former.

Since this is the 21st century, more lucrative ideas about hair are sprouting. Factors such as hair density play a significant role in our general appearance. Being knowledgeable about hair and its needs goes a long way in securing its density.

Discover Your

It’s not enough to only know the color and texture of your hair. In fact, there’s something deeper that must be unearthed. It’s all part of the self-discovery process and must be taken very seriously.

The very first thing to pay attention to is how voluminous your crown of glory is.

A simple way of going about it is by parting a section of your front hair and brushing it towards your forehead. If you can see traces of your scalp as you do this, it’s safe to say that your hair is not as dense.

If you strain to see your scalp, your hair density level is on point.

If you are straining to catch a glimpse of your scalp and can only see a tiny section of it, yours is of medium density. Lastly, your hair’s density is very thick if you can hardly see your scalp at the front part of your scalp.

Maintaining Your Hair’s Density

Now that you already know where your density lies, you’ll want to either maintain or improve it. Your hair’s appearance depends on factors such as genetics as well as physical health.

Let’s not forget that even the products you use on your hair are vast determinants of your hair’s safety or downfall.

If you are privileged enough to have high density, you wouldn’t want to lose it for any reason in the world. Monitor your hair routines very closely, careful not to miss a single step. For instance, if you shampoo twice or thrice a week, keep this up.

Also, avoid jumping from one hairdresser to another. Stick to one that understands your hair as well as its needs. The hair products that you use must be well-researched as well as verified.

Every self-loving human being only wants the very best for their image. Hair is a significant contributor to such and must be carefully studied. After doing the same thing for years, it’s definitely time for a breath of fresh air around your scalp.

You’ll know you need a fresh start when you are about to venture into a new line of work. Our jobs always require us to look the part. Besides, your hair speaks even louder than you sometimes do.

If you are no longer comfortable with how your present style makes you feel, it’s time for a change. However, be sure to do your research first before making any drastic moves. Sometimes the grass is not always greener on the other side.

Watch Your Diet

As mentioned earlier, the general appearance of your hair solely depends on the food you eat. For this and other plausible reasons, ensure that your snacks and diet are balanced at all times. Hair is mostly made up of protein substances.

The likes of eggs contain nutrients such as Zinc, which is a huge promoter of hair growth. In case eggs are not your cup of tea; for some reason, there are other options you can choose from. Nuts, berries, fish, and spinach are available, to mention but a few.

Most importantly, maintaining a perfect balance among all these will yield its fruit at the right time.

Live Your

Rather than stress yourself over things you have no control over, live your life. Try as much as possible to quit worrying ceaselessly. Give yourself a break and see just how far your hair will go. Aside from genetics and diet, lifestyle is another contributor to hair density.

Leave that toxic relationship if you have to. Your hairline matters more than that heartbreaker who could care less about your feelings. No job, and no idea how to pay your bills? It will work itself out eventually if you live one day at a time.

A visit to your hairdresser after a month will only confirm this slogan.

Stay Hydrated

Need I say more? Hair that’s moisturized from the inside will withstand all sorts of damages. The villains called breakage and dandruff will wilt at the sight of moisture. Drink lots of water that will cater to your skin as well as your hair.

If possible, download an app that will help you stay up to date with your new-found routine. On the other hand, keep your end of the bargain and keep clean water close to you. The results are never instantaneous, but at least you have something fabulous to look forward to.

What’s more, you can look forward to other great benefits, including significant hair density. You have to be consistent in your endeavor to keep your hair healthy and strong.

Other factors

tea tree oil for hair

Don’t beat yourself up if the density of your hair is not up to par. It’s not your fault. Some factors will determine your hair’s level of thickness. For instance, age, hormones, and even genetics can contribute immensely.

Most of the time, it’s almost impossible to have things work in your favor if you are battling these factors. Professionals have been researching hair density and have almost nothing to add to what we already know.

Nowadays, most people are taking the artificial way out. Age is catching up, and they have no choice. Wigs and weaves are playing their role significantly by restoring grace and dignity to our scalps.

Love Yourself

seignssebo2

After all is said and done, hair density should never dictate how much love and respect you should accord yourself.

If there is something you can do about your scarcely dense hair, go ahead. If it’s beyond you, accept yourself and love your hair as it is.

You’ll be surprised at how much progress and change you can make just by this simple act of love.

Men Growing Hair Out Stages

A vast majority of men across the globe value hair growth for various reasons.

Some love it because it scores them points with the ladies. Others just can’t get enough of it because they derive that masculine pride from wild hair growth.

However, not everyone is as lucky when it comes to this broad topic of hair growth. There’s a simple explanation behind this, and we are just about to unravel it. Here are men growing hair out stages that will help shed some light on what the deal is for men.

The Growth

The medical term for this phase is Anagen. It’s so exciting and liberating when you have hair growing wildly within the confines of your scalp.

Imagine being in that carefree zone and not having to worry about your hair falling off.

According to research, this phase normally lasts for about 3-5 years. The figures are not exact since it depends on a variety of factors, including genetics as well as physical wellness.

In some men, this phase can even last up to seven years.
The duration of the Anagen phase mostly determines the length of your hair.

The Regression Phase

Most men fear this more than the actual balding process. They have to bid their fully stocked scalp goodbye and say hello to a whole new phase.

On the bright side, getting used to it makes the entire process a smooth sail.
Medically, it’s referred to as the catagen phase and takes time before its full results are out.

Men who are largely conscious of their looks usually find it difficult to embrace this phase.

In the worst-case scenario, some of them even lapse into depression.
The sooner you accept this and move on, the better it is for you.

The Resting Phase

As the name suggests, the scalp is forced to catch a break, so to speak. Shedding of hair is expected and goes on for a period of about 3 to 5 months.

When a man faces severe conditions such as ill-health, the resting phase goes faster than usual.

Stress is another prominent factor that doesn’t spare the dynamite. Responsible and upright men always see the need to maintain a balance in all significant areas of their lives.

The typical reaction is that hair begins to fall off when certain expectations are not met.
The good news is that hair grows when all this is over. You can call it the Telogen phase if you prefer to sound medically informed.

The Shedding Phase

The sound of it is enough to make any man shrink in horror and dismay. Those who value their looks happen to be the most affected. Still, it bears good tidings since the fallen hair is replaced by new hair.

Certified medical practitioners refer to this stage as Exogen.

Basically, what happens here is the replacement of old hair with new hair. You’ll notice a massive ball of hair detaching from your scalp while brushing your hair as you shower.

This is a completely normal process and should never cause you to worry.
This stage sums up the vAngen, Catagen and Telogen phases. All the hair that’s been lost slowly becomes replaced.

The modern man is informed and has gathered sufficient knowledge on various stages of life. Men growing hair out stages is one of them. After carrying out intensive research, it’s safe to say that men are safe.

Legit hair products have not failed since verified ingredients are in the mix. Keeping tabs on the newest and latest trends keeps their hairlines in place. Hair growth supporters make all the difference when given a chance to do so.

Also, professionals advise on the importance of being consistent and getting your facts right first.

Healthy Diets

The makeup of our hair is mostly dependent on the food we eat. To be more precise, protein must be included in every meal if a full head of gorgeous hair is to be achieved.

Cutting down on beers and other alcoholic beverages is the way to go. Hair loss and thinning are mostly attributed to malnutrition.

You can also include skipping meals in this category and avoid it by all means. Nutrients are inhibited in this way, and the hair is deprived of proper and healthier growth.

Stages of Life

tea tree oil for hair

Just like their female counterparts, males also go through different stages in life. Their hair is affected depending on other vital factors such as lifestyle.

How they handle issues that affect them during these stages of life is essential.

One of the most popular is the mid-life crisis. Most men can relate to this, and those that haven’t been through it yet are dreading it.

Talk To Your Doctor

seignssebo2

Rather than assume that all is well, involve your doctor in all the treatment plans that you plan to begin. Since hair growth patterns vary from one man to another, you are better off getting expert opinion.

Your doctor should play the exceptional role of sensitizing you on various hair maintenance tips. You can take it from there by following them to the letter. They have probably been through your current stage and can offer nothing but sound treatment.

Significant Stage

Tough as it may be for some of us to believe, each of the men growing hair out stages holds its own level of significance.

For instance, the first stage ( Anagen) gives you the privilege of looking in the mirror and loving what you see.

The second, Catagen, is responsible for giving room to new hair by welcoming the balding phase. Telogen is where balding and shedding of hair happens. Your scalp is rid of all old strands of hair just in time for any regrowth treatments you may have in mind.

Carry Out Efficient Research

Not everyone is familiar with the hair growth cycle. This is where research comes in and sheds light on all the areas that seem difficult.

Reading widely is one way of getting informed. Your research skills are vital and must be sharpened at all costs.

Brotzu Lotion and how it effects hair loss, A Comprehensive Review.

Have you heard about brotzu lotion? Can brotzu lotion really help in gaining new hair or does it just strenghten existing hair and how exactly does it work?. In this article I will just be talking about that so make sure to completely read this article and comment if you have any questions below.

Everyone loses hair, According to the American Academy of Dermatology, a normal human being loses about 50 to 100 hairs daily, However, if you notice a lot of thinning or bald patches, you may be experiencing hair loss. There are numerous causes of hair loss, including cancer treatments and genetics.

However, the most common cause of hair loss is a medical condition known as hereditary hair loss. Nearly 80 million Americans suffer from this type of hair loss. Other examples of hair loss include Androgenetic alopecia, female pattern baldness, and male baldness. Fortunately, most causes of hair loss can be treated or stopped.

There are many products on the market today that claim to stop or treat hair loss. Before you purchase any of these products, it is imperative to carry out a detailed research about its effectiveness. One of the proven hair loss treatment products on the market is the Brotzu lotion (Trinov). In this article, we will provide a detailed review of this fantastic hair loss treatment solution.

What exactly is ?

Brotzu Lotion is also known as Trinov Lozione Anticaduta. It is a hair loss product that was launched in 2019 by an Italian company, Fidia Pharmaceutic. Brotzu lotion has increasingly become popular in the last few months due to potential to reverse hair loss.

If you are wondering what the names Lozione and Anticaduata are then here is the definition.
Lozione in English means lotion while Anticaduta means a product for hair loss treatment; therefore, the full name in English is Trinov lotion for Hair Loss Treatment. The name, Brotzu Lotion, was widely used before the official product name was assigned by the manufacturer.

Brotzu lotion is an effective treatment for different types of hair loss, especially the alopecia areata and androgenic alopecia. In alopecia areata, hair occurs when the immune system attacks the hair follicles and damages them. Brotzu lotion helps to treat the damage that occurs as well as the inflammatory processes involved.

Androgenic alopecia, on the other hand, occurs when the hair follicles are attacked DHT that is synthesized by the 5 alpha-reductase. Brotzu lotion helps to block this enzyme, thereby reverses hair loss. Irrespective of the type of hair loss you are suffering from, studies show that Brotzu lotion is very useful in stopping or slowing down hair loss. The formula promotes hair regrowth in scalp areas that have suffered massive alopecia. Lastly, Brotzu lotion also helps to strengthen and fortify your hair.

What Makes Brotzu Lotion Unique?

There are three things that make Brotzu lotion unique. First, its inventor, Dr. Giovanni Brotzu, claims that the lotion can reverse balding by five years within 18 months of use. This quite an unimaginable claim in the hair loss, one that even Propecia can’t achieve.

Secondly, there are lots of before and after hair regrowth photos already circulating online, spurring excitement among many hair loss sufferers. Thirdly, the ingredients of the lotion and how it works are promising.

Where Did Brotzu Lotion Come From?

Brotzu lotion was invented by Dr. Giovanni Brotzu in his early 80s. Although the product was developed by Brotzu, the patent for the medication is secured by an Italian Company, Fidia Farmaceutici rather than Brotzu’s family. Thus, Fidia is the current owner of the product, and it has currently rebranded it and called Trinov.

Dr. Giovanni Brotzu is a respected vascular surgeon in Italy. He discovered the product while working on diabetic patients. He noticed that after applying the lotion to limbs of diabetic patients, blood circulation increased resulting in hair growth. Giovanni then tested the product on the head of a balding male nurse and noticed hair growth.

Dr. Brotzu decided to carry out detailed analysis and trials of the product, which is why he approached Fidia, a pharmaceutical company in Italy. Fidia has been testing the drug and is responsible for its commercialization. Many people believe that the lotion will work since Dr. Brotzu is a trusted doctor and would not want to discreet his career over an inferior product he does not believe in.

On April 14, 2018, Dr. Brotzu made a presentation about the lotion to a group of scientists who had attended the annual conference at the Italian Society for Hair Science and Restoration. Dr. Brotzu’s study was also posted in the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website.

Research shows that Hair loss is caused by the hormone dihydrotestosterone. According to Dr. Giovanni Brotzu, the lotion inhibits the formation of dihydrotestosterone (DHT) from testosterone, and this helps to reduce the risk of suffering from hair loss.

What are the Key Ingredients of Brotzu Lotion?

The key ingredients of Brotzu Lotion are:

  • Equol: Equol is a molecule that naturally inhibits the production of the hormone that causes hair loss. The molecule helps to block DHT, a hormone that stimulates hair loss and prostate growth. Research that his molecule is produced by our intestines when we eat soya.

  • Equol was discovered around twenty years ago during research conducted by a group of researchers from Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, Brigham Young University and the Colorado State University.

  • Dihomo-γ-linolenic acid (DGLA): DGLA is a prostaglandin precursor that helps to improve blood circulation. DGLA also helps to prevent inflammation. By improving blood circulation to the scalp and preventing inflammation, DGLA encourages hair regrowth. DGLA prevents the formation of leukotriene.

  • Leukotriene is responsible for immune response mediation. If produced in large quantities, it causes inflammatory responses, such as allergic rhinitis and asthma.

  • Propiony-L-Carnitine: L-Carnitine is an amino acid that plays a vital role in fat metabolism. Dr. Giovanni added L-carnitine in Brotzu lotion to enhance metabolism. Metabolism is vital when it comes to insulin resistance and weight loss. Studies indicate metabolism is also linked to hair loss. A recent study involving men with premature AGA showed that men below 30 years are not highly sensitive to insulin. This explains why low metabolism results in hair loss.

The three ingredients above contain high levels of liposome to make sure that they are highly effective when administered via a transdermal route. According to Dr. Brotzu, the hormone DHT is the primary cause of balding.

DHT makes the hair follicles to miniaturize, causing to them to thin out and fall off resulting in hair loss. Thus, if you want to reverse hair loss effectively, you need to block the production of the hormone DHT so as to stop the miniaturization process of your hair.

Luckily, Trinov (Brotzu Lotion) is the only lotion that actively blocks the secretion of the hormone dihydrotestosterone, thereby allowing hair follicles to produce healthier hair. The lotion also increases PGE1 levels.

According to Dr. Giovanni, hair regrowth can also be attributed to prostaglandin D2 and E2. While most hair loss treatments target PGE2 while Brotzu lotion focuses on PGE1. Regardless of the method used, the overall goal is to increase the secretion of prostaglandins so as to enable the patient to help you develop stronger, thicker, and fuller hair. Brotzu lotion also helps to promote metabolism, thereby proving more energy to the body.

How Does Work?

As stated earlier, Brotzu lotion helps to treat hair loss by activating Prostaglandin E1 (PGE1). PGE1 is a lipid compound that occurs naturally and is believed to have excellent anti-inflammatory and vasodilator properties. Brotzu Lotion contains a chemical precursor DGLA, a chemical precursor that also helps to activate PGE1. The activation of PGE1 helps to increase blood circulation and reduce inflammation; this consequently results in hair regrowth.

What Types of Hair Loss Can Be Treated by the Brotzu Lotion

Currently, Brotzu Lotion can be used for treating two major types of hair loss: alopecia areata and androgenic alopecia.

  • Alopecia Areata

This type of hair loss occurs when the immune system invades the hair follicles and damages them. Brotzu Lotion contains Dihomo-γ-linolenic acid (DGLA), a prostaglandin precursor that helps to manage the damage and inflammatory processes caused by alopecia areata.

  • Androgenic Alopecia

This is a type of hair loss caused by the hormone DHT, which is synthesized by the enzyme 5 alpha-reductase. Brotzu treats androgenic alopecia by inhibiting the secretion of this enzyme.

Regardless of the kind of hair loss you are suffering from, there are three facts that remain from the studies involving Brotzu lotion. First, the lotion is highly effective when it comes to stopping or slowing down hair loss.

Second, the lotion encourages hair regrowth in scalp areas that have been massively affected by alopecia.

Third, apart from treating hair loss, the lotion also helps to strengthen and fortify your hair. Research shows that Trinov (Brotzu lotion) can be used by both men and women suffering from hair loss.

Does Brotzu Lotion Damage Your Manhood?

brotzu lotion results

The answer to this question is a resounding No! While the lotion reverses hair loss by preventing the formation of the hormone, dihydrotestosterone (DHT), it does not affect your manhood.

The hormone triggers the physiological changes that make men from boys is the hormone Testosterone and DHT. However, research has shown that DHT is the primary cause of hair loss than testosterone.

While both hormones are androgens, the medications for treating hair loss work by blocking the formation of the hormone DHT and not testosterone itself.

How Does Blocking DHT Help Women With Hair Loss?

Women produce the hormone testosterone, but in lower levels than men.

In women, the hormone testosterone is produced by the ovaries and in the presence of the enzyme 5 alpha-reductase; testosterone is converted into DHT, which then causes hair loss.

A research carried out to find the effects of Brotzu lotion on women showed that applying the product on a daily basis for 6 months helped to increase the hair count in women more significantly. On the other hand, the increase in hair count was much lower in men.

The results also showed that the lotion helped to lower telogen in hair and increased anagen hair in men within the first 90 days. In women, Trinov showed quite remarkable results.

It reduced telogen hair and increased anagen hair in just 30 days. From the results above, it is evident that Brotzu lotion is a highly effective treatment for hair loss. Women are more likely to see the results of the product faster than men.

How Can You Do to Get the Best Results When Using Brotzu Lotion?

To get the best results from the treatment, it is essential you first prepare the scalp or affected.

This will ensure that the lotion is fully absorbed and that there is no clogging or buildup of pores and hair follicles.

One of the best ways of preparing your scalp is with a slightly abrasive scalp scrub. The scrub helps you to remove buildups including sebum, dead skin, hair production, pollution and chemicals and improves the overall health of your scalp. The abrasive nature of the scrub can also help to improve blood circulation, which is vital for your hair follicles.

To make the scrub, you will require a blender, lemon juice, ginger juice, powdered charcoal, and Himalayan salt. To make the scrub, start by mixing about 100ml of lemon juice and ginger juice. To this mixture, add a tablespoon of powdered charcoal and a teaspoon of Himalayan salt.

Stir the mixture and then use your fingertips to apply it on your scalp. Massage the scalp in a circular motion and allow the mixture to remain there for a minimum of 10 minutes. Now use warm water to remove the mixture from the scalp. For effective results, it is recommended that you massage your scalp with the mixture three times a day. However, you can wait for about a week between each session.

Now that your scalp is cleansed, you can now apply the lotion on your scalp as required. Note that Brotzu lotion comes packed in a 30 ml bottle, and is meant for just 1 month of treatment. This means you should apply 1ml per day (in spray or drops) on the affected area and massage gently. If you are using a spray nozzle, one spray is enough. Similarly, when using a dropper, 2 drops are enough. Dr. Giovanni recommends that you use the lotion for a minimum of 6 months to achieve successful results.

Are Scalp Exercises and Massage Necessary When Using Brotzu Lotion?
seignssebo2

Yes, scalp exercises and massage are important as they help to increase blood circulation to the scalp. Blood circulation is vital when treating hair loss as it delivers oxygen and nutrients needed for hair regrowth.

A scalp massage can be done with a scalp massager or with your fingertips. Experts recommend that you do the massage for at least 10 minutes daily. You can also use your scalp exercises to increase blood circulation to the area.

How Much Does Costs?

The price of one bottle of Brotzu lotion differs from one store to another but ranges anywhere from $70 to $90. Each bottle contains 30ml of the lotion and can be used for up to 30 days of treatment. In summary, a 6-month Brotzu lotion therapy would cost you about $500. Brotzu lotion is available in many online stores in the following countries:

·United States of America (USA)

·United Kingdom

·South Korea

·Italy

What are the Pros of Brotzu Lotion?

There are a number of pros of Brotzu lotion that help to improve its effectiveness and ease of use. Some of these pros include:

·It is easy to apply, just like other lotion products. This makes it an ideal option for alopecia patients.

· You do not have to visit a hair clinic for the treatment

·The product is readily available and does not require a doctor’s prescription

·It is available over the counter.

Are there are Any Side Effects of Brotzu Lotion?

Everything that has the potential to treat ailments comes with a few drawbacks, and so does Brotzu lotion.

While direct effects of the lotion have not been reported, people who are sensitive to any of its ingredients can suffer from allergies following any topical administration of the product.

Other notable side effects are due to the inhibition of the hormone, DHT. They include weakness, dizziness, reduced ejaculatory volume as well as low libido.

Final Verdict

Brotzu lotion is an effecting product for reversing hair loss.

While it does not promise to cure hair loss, it helps to prevent hair follicles from getting damaged. That way, the lotion helps to treat hair loss by reducing its likelihood of happening in the future.

It is important to note that the lotion will not treat hair loss overnight. You will need to use the lotion for a minimum of six months to get noticeable results.

The best part is that Brotzu lotion helps to reverse hair loss provided that you follow the instructions given by the manufacturer.

While not all medications are fully effective, Brotzu lotion will help you manage your hair loss symptoms as well as hide any hair loss signs so that you remain comfortable.

According to most real user Brotzu Lotion reviews, the product has proven to work for many. There are even many before use and after use pictures online to prove this. Lastly, Brotzu lotion retails at a very affordable price, and it is advisable that you make your purchase as early as possible before the price increases soon.

Children With Hair Loss, What you Should Know.

Children with hair loss face so many challenges in life as well, and we will point some of those here in this article and how parents or guardians can protect children with hair loss with either further damage or fix/stop current hair loss.

Hair loss has been a problem of almost every modern-day adult.

Most often we see men moving around the streets with a bald head. This problem has been there for years and various solutions have come up to deal with it.

The cause of concern is that not only adults, kids are also suffering from hair loss and the number of kids suffering with the problem is alarming and should be taken seriously.

Let alone in the United States more than two million children are suffering from this problem and the number of affected children is increasing day by day.

This problem has been looked over previously because the parents think that it is just a normal hair loss and it will stop after some time. This leads to a lot of hair fall among kids and when this get noticed, most of the hair are already shed off. Children with hair loss lack confidence and suffer a lot of problems because of that.

There are plenty of reasons for why children suffer with hair loss. There are different types of hair loss too and all of them are because of different reasons.

All these types of hair loss have to be dealt with different methods and are to be done with proper attention given to the little one. The different types of hair loss which are common among children are as follows.

Tinea

This is more of a fungal infection in the hair scalp. This type of hair fall is visible as small patches on the head of the child.

These patches are due to a contiguous fungal infection that works like a ring worm on the head which produces scaly, ring like lesions to form.

The area on the head which is affected by this infection looks like a hole or a patch on which hair don’t grow at all.

This hair loss in children is visible properly and looks very bad to be honest. Children.

Medical researches show that there are various types of Tinea capitis and they are caused by different types of infection causing fungus.

The conditions include tinea capitis, tinea favosa (favus resulting from infection by Trichophyton schoenleinii), tinea corporis (ringworm of glabrous skin), tinea imbricata (ringworm resulting from infection by Trichophyton concentricum), tinea cruris (ringworm of the groin), tinea unguium or onychomycosis (ringworm of the nail), tinea pedis (ringworm of the feet), tinea barbae (ringworm of the beard), and tinea manuum (ringworm of the hand).

These all types of fungus effect the hair loss in a different way. Children with hair loss suffering from Tinea capitis are diagnosed by just looking and observing the hair patch that has been caused and it is confirmed by using ultraviolet light to check the presence of the fungal infection of the head.

Treatment of Tinea Capitis

The treatment of Tinea capitis generally is of 4-6 weeks of duration and the treatment is based on the dosage of antifungal infections medications. These medications are to be prescribed by the doctor and are in no case should be taken by own consent.

The most common medication of treatment of Tinea capitis for children with hair loss is griseofulvin. This is a medication that has been used for a long time and has been very popular among doctors for the treatment of Tinea capitis.

This medicine has proven to be the one of the best ones for its treatment. The medicine dosage from expert physicians and doctors is prescribed to be that of 20-25mg/per day and the dosage can be either single or divided.

This amount of dosage has proven to be the best in most of the cases and has surely helped in treating Tinea capitis among children with hair loss.

There are also new modern medicines that have replaced griseofulvin and are also effective in the treatment of Tinea Capitis. Medicines like itraconazole, terbinafine, and fluconazole are being used these days for the treatment of this infection.

Preventive measures have to be taken in order to reduce the chances of someone catching up the same infection. Since it’s a fungal infection, the preventive measures are easy to follow and do not require very much effort.

The basic idea is to not get in direct contact with the affected child. As this is a fungal infection, children suffering from this may cause it to spread to other children around them.

So care should be taken that the affected ones have different combs and use different towels so that it does not spread. These things might seem too small to be taken into consideration but these affect in a big way and can help in reducing chances of your child catching this infection.

Alopecia Areata

Alopecia Areata is just another worse form of Tinea Capitis. In this form of hair loss, there are more than one patches on the head of the child.

Children suffering from hair loss with this disease have a forehead full of patches, where there are no hairs. This hair loss problem is different from Tinea Capitis in a lot of ways.

First of all, the hair loss in this condition occurs just in a matter of few days and patches emerge very quickly.

However, the patches that are on the head of the child are not inflamed but are smooth.

The reason for this type of hair loss in children is that the immune system of child mistakenly thinks that some hair follicles are of outside and attack those hair follicles in order to prevent damage that the immune system thinks it can do.

This is a disease that is very rare among children and only affects 1 out of 1000 children suffering from hair loss. Since the number of children suffering from it are less, this does not mean that the problem is less serious.

This problem is also treated with medications but the problem is, that there is no fungus or bacteria that is causing the problems, it is the immune system of the body that is causing problems and hence it is very tough to fight this disease.

Treatment of Areata

As mentioned earlier, the treatment of Alopecia Areata is very difficult as the problem is caused due to malfunctioning of the immune system. Therefore, the treatment of the same is to be done very carefully so as to protect the immune system too.

Therefore, there is currently no rock solid cure for children suffering with hair loss due to Alopecia Areata.

The treatments for reducing the effect of Alopecia Areata include use of medications like corticosteroids which are powerful drugs that can suppress the immune system of the child.

These medications are send into the body by various means that include using local injections and topical ointment application or even orally. Yet it comes with its problems.

Suppressing the immune system may cause in problems such as immune system of the child becoming weak. Weak immune system can cause a lot of other diseases in the child and treating one thing can be very risky for the body.

Therefore, it is advised that the guardians of the child must consult with a lot of doctors for going this way for the treatment.

Other treatments include the use of minoxidil, Anthralin, SADBE, and DPCP. These medications may not prevent the hair loss of children and may not prevent the formation of new bald patches, but what they can do is increase the growth of hair and this may help in grow hair on bald patches to cover them up.

Prevention of Alopecia Areata

There is no certain prevention method of preventing your child from this disease as it is caused by the malfunctioning of the immune system.

But if your child is suffering from this problem there are somethings that you can do to prevent the problem from getting worse.

Children suffering from this must be protected from getting in contact with direct sunlight and long exposures to sunlight must be banned, and if it is necessary to go out in the sun, then the child must wear a sunscreen.

Moreover, wearing glasses in the sun is a bonus. Also the prevention can be done by wearing something on the head, like wigs or scarves.

These things will protect the child from the sun and will help and will protected the affected area of the head.

Telogen effluvium

Another form of hair loss among children is Telogen effluvium. This is a kind of a hair loss in which the normal hair cycle is interrupted. Generally, about 10 to 15 percent of your child’s hair are in Telogen phase.

Telogen phase is a resting phase of the hair of your child and lasts about 100 days on the scalp and more for the hairs of other parts of the body like eyebrows, eyelash, arms legs etc.

Telogen effluvium is a stage in which most or all the hair on your child’s head are thrown in Telogen state.

This is the reason of baldness in some children. This transfer of all or most of the hair into telogen phase causes partial or complete baldness in children. And that happens over a period of month or weeks.

This disease is caused due to a number of problems and that include severe emotional stress, extreme fever, the stress of general anesthesia, vitamin A overdose, injury, side effects of a medication.

Things like severe stress in child’s mind at a very early age cause various complications and hence it may also lead to Telogen effluvium. Hence it is mandatory for parents to keep a check on the child and make sure that child is not suffering from any mental stress.

Treatment of Telogen effluvium

Treatment of Telogen effluvium does not need any kind of medication mostly as most of the things can be fixed by small things.

In most cases Telogen effluvium is self-correcting. It tends to go away within 6 to 12 months. But to increase the chances and reduce the time of the self-correcting period some things can be done.

Proper nutritious diet can be one of them. Children suffering from hair loss due to Telogen effluvium must be given proper nutritious diet and must be fed properly.

Their diet must include all the necessary vitamins and minerals that are important for the growth and nutrition of any child. Moreover, proper care of the hair must be taken in this phase.

Hair must be given full attention and must not be dealt with harshly as they are already thin and already suffering with a weaker scalp.

Moreover, you can give your child multivitamins so that the deficiency of some of them is fulfilled and your child is healthy. Healthy children will most likely recover faster from this problem than others.

Prevention of Telogen effluvium

There is no as such method of preventing hair loss in children suffering from Telogen effluvium but there are preventions that help in faster recovery.

As all the hairs of the child are in Telogen phase, it is necessary that the hair of the child are cared much more than they had been cared before. It is necessary that no force is applied in pulling the hair because the hairs are too weak to handle that.

Pulling the hair can cause permanent damage, so it is necessary that you take care of your child properly so that your child does not suffer from it.

You must comb the hair of your child very gently. A very gentle approach towards this problem is very effective and will give the best results. It is necessary because the hairs are temporarily in this stage and will eventually come out of this.

Children with hair loss problems due to this condition need special care and proper attention from the parents in order to recover fully and rapidly and hence as a parent it’s your duty to do that.

Hair shaft Trauma

seignssebo2

Hair shaft Trauma is the only form of hair loss that is not caused with some fungi or an infection. Children with hair loss due to Hair Shaft Trauma do not suffer from any disease but this occurs due to the constant pulling force that is applied to the hair.

Constant hair pulling results in hair loss among children and is very common among them. The reasons for this can be many. As a parent, you might be putting a very tight pony tail on your child’s head.

This constant pulling force may not cause hair loss suddenly but is the reason behind hair loss in children in most cases. Since the hair are pulled, they tend to get more and more weaker from the roots and chances of hair being removed completely from the hair follicle is more.

This pulling force on the hair can also be because of your child pulling hair by himself/herself. Your child might be pulling hair due to any other reason.

The reason can be frustration, emotional stress or any kind of pain he/she is suffering from. It is your responsibility as a parent to make sure that you do not let your child suffer from any kind of emotional stress and be with him/her in hard times

Treatment of Trauma

Treatment of Hair Shaft Trauma is to change your habits immediately once the cause is found out. If the cause is because of those tight pony tails.

Stop doing them and make the pony tails on your child’s head weaker and softer so that your child does not suffer from hair loss.

Constant Suffering from Hair Shaft Trauma may lead to permanent damage to the hair of the child and may cause hair to not grow at all.

Once the habit of making tight pony tails is removed, hair will automatically start growing and you will see results in some months.

Moreover, you must feed your child with a balanced and nutritious diet so that the hair of your child grow faster and are denser than they were previously. Hence it is your duty to keep a check on these.

Prevention of Hair Shaft Trauma

Prevention of Hair Shaft Trauma in children with hair loss is simple and straight forward.

Eliminate the cause of the hair loss. Do not put very tight knots or pony tails on your child’s head as this will cause to hair to become weaker from the root and will cause hair loss.

Also please take care of your child, do not let him/her suffer from any emotional or mental stress that he/she may have been suffering from.

This emotional stress leads to child pulling hair causing Hair Shaft Trauma.

Make sure your child is not in any problem that is affecting him/her emotionally and if he/she is, help him get out of that problem and prove your role as a parent. Establish a proper emotional relationship with your small one and make him/her believe that no matter what happens to him, you will be with him/her always.

Remember, precaution is always better than cure and if you as a parent or a guardian are able to prevent bad things from happening to your child, your child will surely not suffer from these problems and will live a happy and healthy life.

What is Seborrheic Dermatitia Hair Loss?

Seborrheic Dermatitis is a common skin condition that commonly affects the scalp, face, or inside the ears.

Seborrheic dermatitis can also appear on other parts of the body including the groin, legs, creases of the arms and the chest. The affected areas usually have yellow to white flakes. The skin may also turn reddish and greasy.
Seborrheic dermatitis affects approximately 10 percent of the general population. Research shows that up to 70 percent of infants below three months experience the condition at least once. Even though the highest prevalence of Seborrheic dermatitis is at two weeks to 3 months of age, the trimodal occurring most commonly in adults, then in adolescents and lastly in adults more than 50 years old.

In babies, the condition is referred to as “cradle cap.” It commonly appears in babies younger than three of age. In adults, it is more likely to affect older men than women. When adults get seborrheic dermatitis on their scalp, it is referred to as dandruff.
In this article, we will discuss all there is to know about the condition.

What is the Exact Cause of

Doctors have not yet established the exact cause of seborrheic dermatitis. Different factors can cause the condition. It may be related to an irregular response to the immune system or a yeast/fungus known as Malassezia that is commonly found in the oil secretion on the skin.

Other risk factors that increase the chances of developing the condition include:

    • Recovery from stressful medical conditions, such as a heart attack
    • A weakened the immune system, for example, an organ transplant recipient and people living with HIV/ AIDS, people suffering from some types of cancers or alcoholic pancreatitis
    • Psychiatric and neurologic conditions, such as depression and Parkinson’s disease
    • Some medications
    •

It is imperative to note that scientists have discovered that seborrheic dermatitis is not an allergy; it does not harm and that it is not caused by poor personal hygiene.

Who Can Get Seborrheic Dermatitis?

People of all ages and colors can get seborrheic dermatitis hair loss. However, you may have a higher risk of suffering from the condition if any of the following apply to you:

 1: Age

People in these two groups are more likely to suffer from seborrheic dermatitis: adults between 30 and 60 years of age and infants three months of age and younger.

2: Medical Conditions

The risk of getting seborrheic dermatitis also increases if you have medical conditions, such as depression, alcoholism, epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, psoriasis, rosacea, acne, eating disorder, or HIV. People recovering from a stroke or heart attack also have a higher risk of getting the disease.

3: Medical Treatment

The risk for seborrheic dermatitis increases if you are taking medicines such as Psoralen, Lithium, and interferon.

Some of the main signs and symptoms of seborrheic dermatitis include:

    • Itching
    • Red skin
    • Areas of greasy skins with yellow or flaky white scales.
    • The presence of crust on the scalp, groin area, under the breasts, ears, eyebrows or sides of the nose.
    • Skin flakes on the scalp, hair, mustache, beard or eyebrows.

It is recommended to see a doctor if you suspect the skin is infected, or you are so uncomfortable that you cannot sleep or you are distracted from your daily routine or if the condition is causing embarrassment and anxiety.

Does Seborrheic Dermatitis Cause Hair Loss?

There are multiple researches done on this topic and some say yes and some say no but according to the American Academy of Dermatologists, seborrheic dermatitis does not cause hair loss.

However, it causes excessive scratching that can injure the hair follicles, leading to some hair loss. In addition, seborrheic dermatitis is associated with extra sebum that triggers an overgrowth of the yeast, Malassezia. Malassezia is a type of fungus that occurs naturally in human skin. If the fungus grows out of control, it can result in inflammation, making it harder for hair to grow nearby.

Similarly, if seborrheic dermatitis develops on the scalp, it can result in hair loss. This is because the condition causes the glands in the scalp to secrete a large amount of sebum, which in turn triggers the overgrowth of Malassezia. The yeast irritates the scalp, resulting in symptoms associated with seborrheic dermatitis hair loss, such as skin burns, itches and is soar to touch, white flaky skin and red irritated the skin.

When the skin on the scalp becomes irritated and inflamed, the hair follicles are unable to function normally, and hair cannot simply grow. Thus, the hair will begin to thin, leading to seborrheic dermatitis hair loss.

What Are The Seborrheic Dermatitis Hair loss?

Research conducted by the Clinical Research Center for Hair and Skin Science shows that hair loss can have a real and enormous emotional burden that can cause severe psychological disorders, including body dysmorphic disorder and acute anxiety. Some common effects of hair loss include:

Low Self-Confidence

  • While a head full of hair cannot guarantee instant confidence, research shows that people suffering from hair loss, about 75 percent of them feel less confident since the onset of their hair loss. Statistics for female hair loss are however difficult to compile due to the tendency of some women with hair loss hiding the condition since they feel stigmatized by it.

  • When a woman loses her hair, she believes she is no longer attractive. Hair is also an essential part of the male psyche. To men, their hair represents their virility. Just like women, when men experience conditions, such as seborrheic dermatitis that causes hair loss, they believe they are no longer attractive.

Degradation in Physical Health

  • Seborrheic dermatitis hair loss has also been associated with degradation in physical health. One study showed that women with hair loss (androgenic alopecia) were more likely to have issues with blood sugar regulation and insulin resistance than those with normal hair.

Negative Effects of Social Life

  • Hair plays an integral role in the social life of any human being. When you first meet someone, one of the first things they will notice about you is your hair. Before social engagements, it is imperative that you look good, and a good lock hair is what completes your appearance. Hair loss may cause a person to limit their social activities. Some people suffering from seborrheic hair loss even avoid seeing their friends and stop going out except to work. Studies have shown that nearly 40 percent of women suffering from hair loss have had marital problems, and about 63 percent claimed that they have career-related issues.

Feelings of Depression and Introversion

  • In extreme cases, some people take hair loss seriously and get stressed about it, up to the point where they get depressed. Some people believe that they are losing something about the control of their life, things that cannot reverse when they start losing their hair. Studies show that people with seborrheic hair loss have high levels of depression and introversion.

Dissatisfaction With Appearance and Body Image

  • Hair loss can substantially change the appearance of a person. Hair loss can change the facial appearance by shifting the balance of the forehead to the face, resulting in an aged appearance. Recent research revealed that men who had a more profound hair loss were very dissatisfied with their appearance and more concerned about their look than those with little hair loss. This effects cuts across all age groups, but is more profound in younger generations.

  • A study published in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology indicated that women tend to be more upset than men by their hair loss. The study compared the psychological effects of hair loss on men and women and found that women had a negative body image after hair loss and were less able to adapt to their hair loss. In fact, it is scientifically proven that women tend to suffer more psychologically and emotionally than men after losing their hair. They tend to feel secure about their appearance as well as how the world and the people around them will think about them.

Low Self-Esteem

  • One of the cornerstones of physical beauty is self-esteem. The levels of self-esteem and other measures of self-worth significantly drop when hair loss occurs. In addition, hair loss impact on an individual’s feeling of attractiveness. Women suffering from hair loss find it hard to live in a society that places great value of attractiveness and youthful appearance. Since women like spending lots of their time and money grooming, curling, drying and styling their hair to make it look its best, when they start losing their hair, it is extremely traumatic.

Is Seborrheic Dermatitis Hair Loss Permanent?

Considering the effects of seborrheic dermatitis hair loss, you will doubt wondering if the condition is permanent. The good news is that in most cases where hair loss is caused by seborrheic dermatitis is temporary.

However, this is only possible with the right treatment. It is important to note that if you are suffering from a very severe case or if the problem is left untreated for too long then, the hair follicles can be damaged permanently. When this happens, it may be difficult to reverse hair loss. Thus, it is recommended that you have the condition treated as early as possible.

How Does Your Doctor Determine Whether You Have Seborrheic Dermatitis?

When you visit your doctor with the condition, they will be able to determine if you are suffering from seborrheic dermatitis by examining the skin. The doctor may even scrape off the skin for a biopsy to rule out other possible conditions with similar symptoms as seborrheic dermatitis. Some of these conditions that have similar symptoms as seborrheic dermatitis include:

    • Rosacea: The condition commonly occurs on the face and has a very minimal scaliness.
    • Tinea Versicolor: Tinea versicolor is a type of rash that usually appears on the trunk. However, it does not have reddish patches like seborrheic dermatitis.
    • Eczema (atopic dermatitis): Eczema is a type of skin reaction causes an itchy, inflamed skin on the front of the neck, on the backs of the knees or in the folds of the elbows.
    • Psoriasis: Psoriasis is a condition that also causes dandruff and red skin covered with scales and flakes. With psoriasis, usually you will have more scales, and they are usually silvery white.

Several medicated shampoos and over the counter drugs are used to relieve dryness and flaking. There is no need for prescriptions for most of these products.

Just look for a product that says it treats seborrheic dermatitis. Some of the critical ingredients a good product should have to include salicylic acid, selenium sulfide, ketoconazole, resorcin, zinc, and coal tar. Some of the other possible treatments for the condition include:

Over the Counter Treatments

  • The main over the counter drugs for seborrheic dermatitis include selenium sulfide, ketoconazole, salicylic acid, and pyrinthione zinc. Most of the products containing these ingredients are available for sale on Amazon. For mild cases, it is recommended to use medicated shampoo for a few weeks. For people with light-colored hair, it is advisable to avoid selenium sulfide as it can cause discoloration.

Prescription treatment

  • If over the counter medication do not provide any relief, then, you may need to see an experienced dermatologist for a prescription. Prescription treatments for seborrheic dermatitis include:
  • Antifungal Medication

  • If antifungal agents and topical corticosteroids do not seem to work, the doctor may suggest an oral antifungal medication. These are commonly used as the last resort since they tend to cause serious side effects and interactions with other medications.

Antifungal Shampoos, Gels, and Creams

  • If you are suffering from severe seborrheic dermatitis, the doctor may suggest a product containing ciclopirox or ketoconazole.

Corticosteroid Shampoos, Ointments, Creams

  • The doctor may prescribe medications, such as clobetasol, desonide, fluocinolone, and hydrocortisone, to help reduce inflammation. This also makes it possible for the hair to grow in the affected area. Although these medications are very effective, it is recommended that you use them for a week or two at a time to avoid possible side effects, such as skin thinning.

Creams Containing Calcineurin Inhibitors

  • Lotions and creams containing calcineurin inhibitors are also highly effective and have fewer side effects than corticosteroids. Examples include tacrolimus and pimecrolimus. However, the FDA stopped their use in 2006 due to their potential cancer risks.

Home Remedies

  • You can also control seborrheic dermatitis with home remedies and lifestyle changes. Most of these usually involve the use of over the counter medications. It is important to note that you may have to try different products or a combination before your condition improves.

  • The best approach for the condition largely depends on whether the condition affects your scalp or other parts of the body, the severity of the condition as well as your skin type. However, even if the condition clears up, it may still come back at some point. Watch for the symptoms we discussed earlier and resume retreating the condition if it comes back again. Other over the counter treatments and self-care tips that can help you control seborrheic dermatitis hair loss include:

1.Wash The Skin Regularly

While seborrheic dermatitis is not caused by poor personal hygiene, be sure to wash your skin regularly. Make sure you rinse the soap completely off your scalp and body. Avoid using a moisturizer or harsh soaps. More importantly, avoid using hair and skin products that contain alcohol. These can cause the condition to worsen. Lastly, stop using gels, hair sprays, and other styling products while treating the condition.
Make sure to soften and remove scales from your hair. Apply olive oil or mineral oil to the scalp and leave it in for about 60 minutes or more. Then comb or brush your hair and wash it.

2.Apply a Medicated Cream

After washing your skin and scalp, first, try applying a mild corticosteroid cream on the affected areas. Remember to keep these creams away from the eyes. If this does not work, try using an antifungal cream, such as ketoconazole. Always wear smooth-textured cotton clothing as this helps to ensure that air circulates around the skin and reduces irritation. Wash Your Baby’s Scalp Gently
If you an infant that has a cradle cap, consider washing their scalp with non-medicated baby shampoo at least once per day. Use a small soft-bristled brush to loosen the scales before rising out the shampoo gently. If the scaling continues, try applying mineral oil to the scalp for a couple of hours.

3.Clean the Eyelids

If seborrheic dermatitis has affected your eyelids, or you have noticed signs of scaling or redness on them, consider washing them out every night with non-medicated baby shampoo and wipe away scales with a cotton swab. For people with a mustache or beard, be sure shampoo them regularly. Where possible is sure to use a facial shampoo that contains at least 1 percent ketoconazole daily until the symptoms improve. Then switch to shampooing once a week or if possible, consider shaving your mustache or beard as this may help to improve the symptoms.
