Your Questions About Stop Hair Loss Products

Susan asks…

Can I use treatments targetted for hair-loss to make my hair grown faster?

My beautician recently told me to use a hair loss product (Hair A-gain) on my eyebrows to help grow them out as they’re a little over-plucked. As I’ve been trying to grow my hair for ages, I thought perhaps I could also use it on my head to stimulate growth. However, I’m worried that the product will damage my hair seeing as it’s made for people suffering from actual hair loss, so could be really harsh.

Has anyone ever used something similar to stimulate growth when they’re not actually suffering from hair loss? I can’t find anything on the beauty forums, so I’m hoping someone here might have some information/ experiences to share.

sam smith answers:

You can BILLIONS of people do anyways, but it’s just another billion-dollar business that can do them MORE HARM than good.

I wouldn’t!

Do you have to use Nioxin hair loss product continuosly once you started?

Do you have to use Nioxin hair loss product continuosly once you started? Do you have to use the product temporary to stop hair from falling out,or do you have to use it as long as you want your hair not to fall out,I mean continuosly, forever. I think my hair started falling out,and I want to prevent it from falling ever more, but I don’t want to used something permanently.

sam smith answers:

Nioxin is more than just for thinning hair. I don’t know why your hair is falling out, it could be a number of things including the fact that you just started noticing this… Most people lose about 100 hairs a day. Anyways, Nioxin is a great line for everyday use. They have shampoos and conditioners, scalp treatments, styling products… The works. It keeps your hair healthy and is one of the best haircare lines I know of.

Mandy asks…

im 22 and been losing hair for the 6 month my hair is falling out from the root
im not stressed and don’t understand whats making it fall out all so it seams to get greasy faster than it used to

im planning on getting some vitamins whats the best to try for hair loss

its growing back where it falls out but theres alot that comes out about 150 a day my hair is starting to look thin

sam smith answers:

Stacey, before you begin to take vitamin supplement i believe it would be ideal to ascertain that you are not suffering from female pattern baldness because if that is the case taking vitamins alone would not be sufficient. There are several reasons behind hair loss apart from vitamin deficiency and you can find most of the common reasons at this url : http://www.hairfallguide.com/hair-loss-prevention/causes-of-hair-loss.html

However if you would like to straight away choose vitamins and other nutrients which would help you in preventing hair loss and also aid general hair condition you should have a look at this page http://www.hairfallguide.com/nutritional-suppliment/nutritional-suppliment.html

Jenny asks…

What is the trade off between getting vitamin D from the sun and skin cancer?

Is it best to go without a tan and take supplements for vitamin D? Also, is the statistic for skin cancer skewed by people who are susceptible to cancer i.e. people who consume few anti-oxidants and have a poor diet in general?

sam smith answers:

I recommend that a person become vitD sufficient to a level >50 ng/ml *before* trying to do sun therapy.

The sun is the best source for vitD production BUT if you are vitD deficient (like 97% of people) then the sun can be dangerous. There are the good UVB rays (which creates vitD) & the bad UVA rays (which destroys vitD) – they balance each other so you don’t overdose on vitD. I believe that if you are vitD sufficient, UVA rays won’t hurt you but if you aren’t then they can be harmful.

It’s very hard to get vitD sufficient from the sun because UVB rays are only available part of the year (for most of the world) & only for a couple or so hours a day when available. If you do get UVB rays & then wash or wipe the oils off your body within 48 hours, then you lose the capability of making vitD. Sunlight through window glass blocks UVB rays but not UVA rays which destroys vitD.

Symptoms of acute vitD deficiency can include –

Hair Loss
Weakness, Sadness, Listlessness, Tiredness, Muscle-Pain,
Cramps,
Circulation problems,
Twitching, (Eyelid, Arm, or Legs)
fingernails have small white spots,
Dizzyness,
Headache,
Standing causes back, hip, groin, and/or leg pain.

Vitamin D3 deficiency has become an epidemic, probably because people are washing daily. If you wash skin exposed to the sun within 48 hours, you wash off the oils where the vitamin D production starts. In northern latitudes (above that of Atlanta, Georgia) the sun is at too low an angle for half the year to provide sufficient UV radiation. If even available, UVB rays are only accessible while the sun is directly overhead. Most people need to take vitamin D, especially seniors, as the ability to synthesize vitamin D in the skin declines with age.

With exposure to sunlight in the summer, the body can generate up to 20,000iu of vitamin D per hour with no ill effects. In addition, no adverse effects have been seen with supplemental vitamin D intakes up to 10,000 IU daily.

Vitamin D3 is not a vitamin at all but a necessary hormone that effects the immune system, bones & nearly every aspect of health. Having low Vitamin D levels greatly increases risk of cancer, heart disease, diabetes, MS & being deficient can create or greatly exacerbate health problems. Many researchers claim that optimized vitamin D levels are more effective than a flu shot in preventing viral infections.

Always take your vitamin D with a fat-containing meal to ensure absorption.

Some prescription vitamin D supplements are the wrong type (ergocalciferol – vitamin D2). As warned by the National Institute of Health –

Luckily you can buy vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) over the counter and the upper limits are extremely high. U.S. RDA are much too low. Current recommendations from researchers are for 35iu per pound – a 143# person needs minimum of 5000iu per day (which is for minimal needs and does not replenish depleted stores) & the rda is 600iu.

Research published by Grassroots Health from the D*Action study shows that 97.5% of the adult population needs to take 9,600 IU’s of vitamin D per day in order to elevate their levels above 40ng/ml, which they believe is the absolute minimum for disease prevention. Need 14,100 IU/d to get 97.5% of the population above 50 ng/ml Universal intake of up to 40,000 IU vitamin D per day is unlikely to result in vitamin D toxicity.

I also highly recommend a low carb way of eating for optimal health.

Your vitamin D level should never be below 32 ng/ml, and any levels below 20 ng/ml are considered serious deficiency states, increasing your risk of as many as 16 different cancers and autoimmune diseases like multiple sclerosis and rheumatoid arthritis, just to name a few.

They found that the body does not reliably begin storing cholecalciferol in fat and muscle tissue until 25(OH)D levels get above 50 ng/ml (125 nmol/L). That is, at levels below 50 ng/ml (125 nmol/L), the body uses up vitamin D as fast as you can make it, or take it, indicating chronic substrate starvation—not a good thing. 25(OH)D levels should be between 50–80 ng/ml (125–200 nmol/L), year-round.

83% of people with low back pain were vitamin D deficient
95% of people with chronic pain had the pain go away with vitamin D

David asks…

What vitamin’s will help my skin look more alive and add some colour?

My face skin is dull, and white. I do weight’s everyday, and I’m going to start running and drinking more water. I use a scrub, and benzoyl peroxide for acne, but my face always looks dull and white, especially in pictures, but it never use to.

Can someone recommend a vitamin to help?

sam smith answers:

Your skin reflects not only the effect of your environment but also what s going on inside of your body. Well balanced diet rich in vitamins and antioxidants is essential for radiant skin that look good and feels good.

VITAMINS
Vitamins C, E, A, K, and B complex can all help improve skin health.

Vitamin C can prevent the consequences of prolonged sun exposure. Vitamin E has been noted to reduce photo damage, wrinkles and improve skin texture. Both help to reduce damage caused by free radicals, a harmful side effects of sun exposure, smoking and such. Vitamin C can be found in citrus fruits and vegetables such as bell peppers, broccoli, cauliflower, and leafy greens. Vitamin E is in vegetable oils, nuts, seeds, olives, spinach, and asparagus; however most people take supplements as the amount they’re getting from they diet is not suffcient.

Vitamin A plays major role in the maintenance and repair of skin tissue. Without it your skin can feel dry and flaky. Fruits and vegetables are loaded with vitamin A.

The single most important B vitamin is biotin, a nutrient that forms the basis of skin, nail, and hair cells. Without adequate amounts, you may end up with dermatitis (an itchy, scaly skin reaction) or sometimes even hair loss.

MINERALS
Selenium plays a major role in skin cancer prevention.

Copper tgether with vitamin C and the mineral zinc helps to develop elastin which supports skin structure.

Zinc is especially important if you have acne. In fact, sometimes acne itself is a symptom of a zinc deficiency.

Maria asks…

What are possible causes for whole body muscle aches, and tingling in the hands?

For a couple days now I have muscle aches in my arms and legs, along with tingling/slightly numb hands. Dehydration? Vitamin deficiency? Circulation issues? Heart problems? I’m really worried but I don’t want to spend the money at the doctor or miss work if it’s not a huge issue.

sam smith answers:

If your urine is very dark, that is the easiest sign of dehydration which could cause these issues.

97% of people are vitamin D deficient – you may be also. I suggest having vitD levels tested.

Symptoms of acute vitD deficiency can include –

Hair Loss
Weakness, Sadness, Listlessness, Tiredness, Muscle-Pain,
Cramps, Cramps at Night,
Circulation problems,
Twitching, (Eyelid, Arm, or Legs)
fingernails have small white spots,
Dizzyness, Dizziness that disappears when lie down
Headache, Headache – Standing up, Headache – Sport, Headache – disappears, when laying down
Standing causes back, hip, groin, and/or leg pain. Standing for a long time causes pain in legs

83% of people with low back pain were vitamin D deficient
95% of people with chronic pain had the pain go away with vitamin D

My theory is that since vitD is a mucolytic agent, it keeps lymph fluid thin & flowing. When the lymph fluids get thick &the fluids pool around nerves putting pressure on the nerves & triggering pain. Lymph fluids have no “pump” like the heart & works on gravity & movement to flow & fluids drain away relieving pressure on the nerves.

Paul asks…

What should I do if my dog has been throwing up constantly the past hour?

He keeps throwing up. He never throws up. He’s about 10 months old. He had just one bowl of dog food tonight but my mom mixed in some leftover chicken meat.
Is there any home remedy I can temporarily give him? I don’t know if there are any emergency vets around, but if there are, should I take him to one? Or wait til tomorrow?
I’m scared! 🙁 He seems really sick.

sam smith answers:

Good chance the chicken was off! Hence the reason he vomiting, So basically he was accidently food posioned. Pet do react to off food. I would take him to emergancy animal clinic.

NEVER give a dog pepto bismol, it is TOXIC, the ingredients have change and can cause DEATH now.

If your dog does manage to eat a harmful or questionable food, call your veterinarian immediately. Do not give attempt to give him Pepto-Bismol or other products intended for humans. In dogs, these formulas can lead to gastric irritation or ulcers, bleeding problems, seizures and liver damage. Appropriate dosages are unknown, and medicines can be harmful, or even fatal, to canines.

Apples, peaches, and cherries can contain small amounts of cyanide, which is toxic to dogs. These fruits aren’t actually toxic to dogs, it the seeds of these fruit that are toxic!

Tomatoes and potatoes may contain solanine, which can lead to drooling, severe gastrointestinal upset (vomiting and diarrhea), loss of appetite, drowsiness, central nervous system depression, confusion, behavioral changes, weakness, dilated pupils and slowed heart rate in dogs. Tomatoes and Potato’s aren’t actually toxic unless the dog eat them when there green or the actual plants the fruit is produced on. This is what is actually toxic.

Other harmful foods include avocados, coffee and tea, moldy cheese, onions, macadamian nuts.

Bones can splinter or break into sharp pieces that may cause internal bleeding or blockages in dogs. Raw bones aren’t actually toxic, but cooked bones are dangerous-cooked bones splinter and have a high chance of bein lodge in the back of the throat or in the intestines. Raw bones are far less likely to splinter and far less likely to get stuck.

Peppers are fine, as long as the seeds are removed.

Dog’s are they carnivore’s Are they really like wolves, hyena’s and jackals?

Or are they more like us? Is it foolish to feed them only meat? Should they be fed what their human family eat?

The truth encompassess a little of each

In the wild, other hunting animals that seem similar to dog’s, such as wolves and hyenas, eat fruit, leaves, grasses, dig for roots and even obtain vegetable matter from the stomach of their prey. The bone’s of their prey provide calicum and help keep teeth clean.Their diet’s are highly varied and also change seasonally.

A domestic dog fed on human diet struggles with dairy products and can actually be poisioned by some of the common ingredients in human pantries.

Dog’s are actually omnivorous.

They need alot less meat protein then cats, ferrets, snakes and feeding a high animal protein diet to a dog will take a toll on its health.

A dog is designed to digest a wide range of plant and animal products.

Dog’s must eat more then just muscle meat.

They need plenty of carbohydrate’s and fibre from vegetable and plant matter and only a very small amount of fat.their protein can come from both plant and animal product’s.

The other thing’s to consider are sources of mineral such as calcium and phosphorous and of cause vitamins.

CATS

Cat’s are strict carnivores.this mean that some of their nutritents can be obtained only from animal sources.

However being a carnivore doesn’t mean that all of the nutrients need to be from animal products or that a carnivorous animal could survive eating muscle meat only.

A wild carnivore such as a lion will kill and eat an atelope.it will lickthe hair off and chew on the skin.the organ are consumed, including partly digested grass, leaves, and other grazed plant material.Last of all, the bones are eaten too.

Cat’s and Dog’s are also very different in their needs

Animal poisoning by drugs is by far the most common type of small animal poison exposure, accounting for 75% of 1990 toxin exposures as reported by the AAPCC and 82 of 425 fatalities. Dogs and, less frequently, cats, can be poisoned by human or veterinary drugs as a result of accidental ingestion or overdose just like children can; it is worth emphasizing that all medications should be placed out of reach of inquisitive noses which are too often attached to undiscriminating mouths!

This section focuses on those medications which are too frequently given by well-intentioned owners for the purpose of relieving discomfort experienced by the animal and which instead can cause a much more serious problem for the pet. Human over-the-counter pain relievers are occasionally used in veterinary medicine for pain relief but they should only be given upon specific advice and direction of a veterinarian. Pain relievers, or analgesics, are not designed for use by cats and dogs and a minimal human dose can poison a pet. Cats and dogs do not utilize and tolerate drugs in the same way people do and human drugs should NEVER be assumed to be safe for animals.

Acetaminophen (Tylenoltm) -XXX Top

XXX – Emergency! XX – Highly Dangerous X – Dangerous

Tylenol is, of course, a human over-the-counter analgesic medicine used to relieve pain. In people, after the pills are taken, the ingredients are broken down in the body by enzymes in the liver. In people, Tylenol is generally a safe and useful painkiller. Cats, however, have less of the enzyme required to detoxify the drug following ingestion. As a result, there are many dangerous metabolites, or break-down products of acetaminophen that bind to red blood cells and other tissue cells, resulting in the destruction of these cells. There may also be direct damage to tissue cells from the painkiller. As little as one regular strength tablet (325 mg) can poison a cat to the degree that it can develop noticeable clinical signs of illness. Two extra-strength tablets are likely to kill a cat. Dogs (particularly small dogs) are also susceptible to significant tissue damage from as little as two regular strength Tylenol and repeated doses increase the risk significantly. Signs develop quickly and can include salivation, vomiting, weakness and abdominal pain.

Due to the significant toxicity to pets in relatively minimal dosages, the recommendation is clear – Tylenol should not be given to dogs or cats. Other, safer, drugs are available for pain relief; talk to your veterinarian about your own pet’s specific needs.

NSAIDs: Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Phenylbutazone, Naproxen – X Top

XXX – Emergency! XX – Highly Dangerous X – Dangerous

The pain relievers discussed here are known as NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) and are widely prescribed with caution by veterinarians to relieve pain from arthritis and other conditions. Animal dosages, however, are much lower than human dosages. Use of NSAIDs can significantly increase the risk for development of stomach or intestinal ulcers, particularly in a sick patient, or one receiving other medications. These pain relievers cause signs of poisoning by decreasing the mucous production in the stomach. Mucous serves to protect the stomach from the acids it secretes and reduction in mucous production decreases the protection the stomach has from acid secretion and increases the likelihood of ulcer formation. In addition these drugs indirectly decrease the blood flow to vital organs, particularly the kidney, and can result in significant kidney damage. Two regular strength aspirin in a small dog can cause clinical signs of poisoning. As with Tylenol, cats are more sensitive to these drugs and should never be given these medications unless under the specific direction of a veterinarian.

Again, these drugs can be safely used and, in fact, are employed in veterinary practice every day in appropriate doses and after careful medical evaluation of the patient. The important point is to recognize that dogs and cats do not respond in the same way to human medications that people do. Any medications need to be discussed with and prescribed by a veterinarian prior to giving them to your pet to avoid an inadvertent and tragic poisoning.

How to promote new hair growth?

Lately, I noticed I started having spaces in my hair, specially the forehead. My forehead increased in size and even from the sides of my forehead, there are spaces. How to grow hair to fill these spaces? It’s not genetic. It’s just I didn’t treat my hair rightly. I used many hair products that damage it and I always put on a winter wool cap. Any help people?

sam smith answers:

Sorry for that … Ya me too experiencing hair loss and the best home remedy to regrow the lost hair is applying

1).onion juice on bald patches this makes to stimulate the bolld circulation or u can also use garlic.

2). Thn u can also use castor oil or olive oil for hair growth

3). Green tea makes to reduce the dht level in the body … Dht is the main culprit for hair fall.

4)Scalp Massage
Yet another useful technique that boosts hair regrowth involves gentle massage to the scalp. Concentrate more on massaging the bald areas, but ensure that the massage is evenly given to the whole head. Poor blood circulation to the scalp, is the main cause behind thinning of hair. A scalp massage with best oil for hair promotes better blood flow, necessary for healthy regrowth of hair. As compared to other parts of the body, the flow of blood to the scalp is less. So stimulation of the blood flow is very necessary, which can be easily achieved with a scalp massage. The increased blood circulation to the scalp, benefits the hair follicles and prevents further hair loss. Using essential oils such as rosemary and thyme that are high in vitamins and minerals, for massaging the scalp daily can give a new life to your dull strands of hair and moreover stimulate hair follicles for faster hair growth.

5).Keep the Scalp Clean
Dirt and debris on the scalp surface often blocks skin pores on the scalp and is responsible for slowing down of the hair growth process. The best way to regrow hair naturally is by cleansing the scalp regularly with a good quality herbal shampoo. Those shampoos that have amla is suitable for growth of healthy hair fast.

The best method i think so is applying onion … Best of luck for ur regrowth my friend.

1. Take olive oil and rub it on your head for a good 3 minutes, it’s recommended to leave this is overnight, rinse it away in the morning with a mild shampoo. The olive oil actually cleans away debris and trapped dirt on your hair, as well as remove excess sebum that’s clogging your hair follicles and forcing them to thin out.

2. Rub onions on your scalp, where you are experiencing hair loss, it will turn red, when it turns red then more blood circulates to that area, essentially quenching the thirst of your hair follicles. Did you know hair loss occurs when your hairs are dying of thirst? This method helps surge your hair shafts with an abundance of blood, nourishing them and helping them grow thick and strong.

3. Take some dry capsicum, also known as red bell pepper, and boil it in boiling water for about 7 minutes. Then let it cool for 15 minutes. Wash your hair then apply this tonic to your scalp. The properties in red bell pepper actually speeds up hair growth and promotes new growth as well. Capsicum is the best home remedy for thinning hair because it speeds up growth and strength.

4. Rejuvenate with aloe vera gel. Take some aloe vera gel and add almond oil to it, then rub on your scalp for 2 minutes. Leave this in for 30 minutes, then shower it away. This cools and soothes your scalp, giving your hair breath and energy to grow.

Jenny asks…

My hair is falling out fast what should I do?

A few months ago my hair started falling out and now it’s becoming really noticeable, any ideas how to make it stop and or to make it thick again?

sam smith answers:

Steven asks…

How can i grow my hair!?!?

Ok, so im black & my hair is shoulder length but i want to grow my hair longer but i have to keep getting perms in my hair, which i think is really the reason my hair isn’t getting any longer because of the chemicals. Honestly i need the perms because without them my hair roots & edges get really curled up. So yea, i need the perms. But is there a healthier way i can grow my hair without getting the perms but also not having my roots & edges curl up? Please help & no rude comments. (:

sam smith answers:

• Regular hot oil massage (at least once a week) serves as a highly effective home treatment for hair growth as it improves blood circulation and nourishes the hair shafts. The hair and scalp massage can be done with coconut, rosemary, castor or olive oil. After massaging, leave the oil on the scalp for at least half an hour.
This oil therapy is also beneficial in controlling dandruff and hair fall. To warm the oil, pour it in a bowl and place the bowl in hot water. Use coconut oil as far as possible because gets absorbed in hair strands quite easily.
• Applying a mixture of three drops of lavender oil, three drops of rosemary oil, two drops each of thyme oil and cedarwood oil in combination with carrier oils like 3ml of jojoba oil and20 ml grapeseed oil is one of the best natural home remedies for hair growth. Wrap a warm towel (soaked in warm water and then wringed) to enhance the absorption of the herbal oils.
• Onion is another great hair growth home remedy that is particularly useful in case of individuals dealing with hair loss as it helps regenerate hair follicles. To prepare this remedy, put red onion cut in two pieces, two cinnamon sticks and four garlic cloves in some water and boil the mixture for 15 minutes.
Cool and strain the mixture and use this solution on hair for daily for four days to accelerate hair growth. Alternatively, you can also mix minced onion in a mild shampoo, let the mixture stand for about 15 days and then use it regularly.
• Using a potato mask prepared by adding potato juice extracted from three potatoes, an egg yolk and some honey is one of most useful but relatively unknown home remedies to make hair grow faster.
Apply the mixture on somewhat damp hair and leave it for almost half an hour before washing the hair with warm water. This hair growth natural treatment is highly beneficial for people suffering from hair loss.
• Trim your hair after every five to six week to remove split ends that prevent hair growth. Moreover, take adequate hair care measures by brushing the hair gently in the morning and evening to stimulate circulation and facilitate hair growth.
Make sure you not comb your hair when wet because wet hair are likely to break easily. Another tip to make hair grow faster is to brush your hair with the help of a boar bristle brush. Also, avoid using extremely hot water for washing hair.
• In order to promote natural hair growth, take a nutritious and balanced diet including yogurt, fruits, sprouts, nuts, carrots, beans, spinach, broccoli, beans, whole grain products and other items rich in proteins. Yellow colored fruits and vegetables are also valuable for healthy hair.
• As hair grows more during rest, taking proper rest is one the simplest natural home remedies to make hair grow faster. Exercising adequately is also necessary to make the body function better, thereby aiding in hair growth as well.

Your Questions About Hair Loss Prevention

by sam smith Leave a Comment

Chris asks…

What are the best products to prevent hair loss?

Hi I would like to know the best hair loss prevention treatments for men.
I have a history of hair loss in my family and want to prevent it thanks

sam smith answers:

If hair loss is hereditary, it is more difficult to prevent. It can however be remedied when you are actually already loosing hair. I would recommend you visit your dermatologist during then, but as far as preventing it, you probably have to just stay healthy, eat right, and avoid stress. Stay away, however, from those over the counter drugs, they just mess with your hormones and you body’s chemistry.

Susan asks…

Any proven methods for hair loss prevention?

I’m wondering if there are any guys out there that have tried hair loss prevention techniques and have you lost your hair after using them? Also has anyone ever used a treatment that effectively regrew your hair after you lost it?

sam smith answers:

In male pattern baldness hair loss is triggered by a response of the hair follicles to the hormone testosterone. Castration will completely prevent your hair loss. Personally I would keep my balls and stop worrying about my hair.

George asks…

How can I treat hair loss in its early stages??

I am a 22yo male and am daunted of the fact that i may loose my hair.. Generally, i have thick, dark hair and am only experiencing a slightly receeding hairline.. Can any one advise me of any products that have proven results of hair loss prevention and hair restoration without the adverse side effects associated with most? Thank you!

sam smith answers:

Well there are only two “approved” options. Minoxidyl and Propecia. Minoxidyl is a liquid or foam that you put on your scalp. It, generally, works best at the top rear of your head (the crown). Propecia is a pill that inhibits DHT. Propecia might be more effective but it may also have more side effects. You will have to use each of these for the rest of your life to maintain any benefits they may bring. Another, new, option is the Laser Comb! It’s basically a brush with a couple LED’s attached. They are said to stimulate hair follicles back into a growth mode. Other then these, everything else is basically a crap shoot of hard marketing and half truths coupled with large price tags.

Sandy asks…

How long without Propecia Finasteride before it wears off?

Due to a mistake by my doctor my prescription didn’t come through to the pharmacy. Being a Friday I now won’t be able to get my Propecia until Monday. Will being off my medication for 4 days have any negative affect on my hair loss prevention? I understand Propecia requires a build up so will this effect it? Thanks

sam smith answers:

I took propecia and generic finasteride for years, until I could not get access to it from my usual online seller in India closed. I decided to give it up, it cost too much and did too little. I didn’t notice any difference except I gained sex drive, lost belly fat and felt 100% better.
I started using minoxidil with trichogen as explained on their offical site: I never looked back and now have more hair than ever …. More hair than I did 10 years ago!!

Paul asks…

I have a couple questions regarding hair loss and prevention?

I’ve had a lot of hair loss recently so I’m trying to figure out how to stop it. I began taking Biotin(5000mcg) about 5 days ago and I’m wondering how long it’ll take to see results. Also, will this supplement make me feel dizzy if it’s taken on an empty stomach? What other vitamins do you recommend I take to help prevent my hair loss and promote healthy strong hair?

sam smith answers:

You could take it on an empty stomach, but I would take it with food if I were you. I’ve just heard that you could take it with both. I took it with food. It won’t make you dizzy, I’ve taken it and I wasn’t dizzy, and be careful because it made my nails grow crazy fast. Vitamin A, B, C, D, and E are vitamins I’ve heard are good for hair loss, and I’ve also heard that iron is good for hair loss. Eating healthy also helps, which is obvious. You could try Rogaine, if you want. Never tried it though so, I’d google that too.

Your Questions About Hair Loss Home Remedies For Girls

by sam smith Leave a Comment

Robert asks…

How to repair the damage done to my hair from my straightener?

During the school year, I straightened my hair every single day. During the summer, I’ve only straightened it a few times. My hair has been looking dry and frizzy, and I was wondering if there is anything I can do to fix it? I already have a conditioner to help damaged hair, so do not suggest that. Any home remedies or anything? HELP!

sam smith answers:

None. You’re more sensitive than some girls. If you continue to straighten your hair, it could result in hair fall or not growing normally. Hair products can’t reverse the damage done. But you’ll see more & more by the time you’re in your 30’s. I know! I’ve met people in the 70’s and seen their hair. Like smoking or tanning some do NOT get cancer, some who are 2nd hand or 3rd hand smoke DO.

Fix your dry & drizzy hair? Yes. Wash, towel dry, scrunch with gel like Samy, blow-dry briefly using a diffuser no more than 5 mins. Finger comb, and toussle the hair and you’re good to go.

FYI: The hair industry is a billion dollar business, their job is to make profits, and there is no money back guarantee for damaged hair or hair loss, due to abuse. READ YA HAIR FOR 30 mins. And you’ll understand why.

Also a good book to read is Dr. Seus’ book The Sneetches.

Susan asks…

I have a vitamin D deficiency and i was wondering if i take vitamin d everyday will my hair start growin back?

I am 19 year old girl i used to have super thick hair and its been falling out alot and i went to the doctors and they told me i had a deficiency of vit.D and i was wondering if i keep taking it will my hair grow back eventually?

sam smith answers:

Vitamin D is NOT THE only reason why hair grows. You need: Zinc, Cooper, Vitamin B12, Vitamin A, Biotin, and Folic Acid.

Fruits, vegetables, legumes, and whole grains all supply B-complex vitamins, like biotin, folic acid and vitamin B12, as well as vitamin A, copper and zinc, which are all necessary for remedying dry, brittle hair and nourishing a healthy scalp. Some prime examples of foods that contain these nutrients for healthy hair include:
·                     Folic Acid – asparagus, beets, broccoli, avocados, Brussels sprouts, beans, chickpeas, soybeans, lentils, oranges, fresh peas, turkey and spinach.
·                     Biotin – cauliflower, liver, salmon, carrots, bananas, cereals, yeast, and soy flour. Keep in mind that biotin content is reduced when food is cooked or preserved.
·                     Vitamin B12 – foods rich in vitamin B12 include animal protein (such as beef, lamb, and veal), clams and oysters, liver, fish, milk, and egg yolks.
·                     Vitamin A – butter, egg yolks, fish, fortified milk, organ meats (such as
liver), and dark green, orange, red, and yellow fruits (persimmons) and vegetables, which all
contain beta-carotene.
. Copper – oysters and other shellfish, whole grains, beans, nuts, potatoes and organ meats are good sources of copper. Dark leafy greens, dried fruits such
as prunes, cocoa, black pepper, and yeast are also sources of copper in the diet.
•  Zinc – beef, eggs, liver, pork, poultry, and oysters. Also is also abundant in other high-protein foods, like cheese, legumes and nuts.
If having a lush, beautiful mane of healthy hair is important to you, don’t just look to hot oil treatments and shine emollients. Eat these foods for healthy hair and say “bye-bye” to bad hair days.

BUT . . . .It may grow very slowly or none at all if you’ve straightened your hair in the past.

DID YOU SAY they have been falling out alot? Find the ’cause’ before you can find the solution, then eliminate them. Your hair will improve. Remember, whatever it was that caused them to fall out in the first place, it took years to get in your system, it will takes years to flush them down, so don’t expect miracles overnight.

So many reasons for hair loss:

Supplements, steroids, hereditary, hair dyes perming, straightening, diet, having babies (yes I read once it happened to her), stress, medications with testosterone, certain antidepressants, menopause, anti-acne, and too much of everything. Add to that the 7,000 + toxic found in your home, plus pollution found outdoors. Your hair is crying for help!

Doctors don’t know everything, they will just prescribe you a white little pill and everything are OK then they go to their next patient. My mother had suffered for 21 years, and they didn’t even told her she’s got cancer, until we rushed her to ER, then they did more testing, but by then she’s got 3 months to live.

Sources:
I know hair. I have 4 decades of hair know-how. I have silky, shiny, soft, smooth very healthy hair down to my knees. Previously damaged by perming & dyeing in the 80’s & 90’s. I’ve known people in their 30’s whose hair stopped growing from ironing their hair in the 70’s.

Donna asks…

lavender oil on regular basis has a significant effect on the growth of hair.

Olive oil – Olive oil when applied on regular basis helps to strengthen your hair and improve the hair quality. This is because it helps to reduce the stress and also provide elasticity to your hair.

Rosemary herbal oil – This oil is commonly used for flaky unwanted dandruff on the scalp.
