Your Questions About Prevent Hair Loss Shampoo

by sam smith Leave a Comment

George asks…

How to make a natural shampoo and conditioner?

Does anybody know here how to make homemade and pure organic shampoo and conditioner that also prevents hair loss and regrow the lost hair? And also natural weekly treatment for the hair. Thanks in advance!

sam smith answers:

Put oatmeal in your hair???????????????????

David asks…

Is it healthy for hair to just use shampoo only?

For starters, I don’t know anything about taking care of my hair. I want to prevent hair loss and keep my hair as healthy as possible. I’m not experiencing any kind of hair loss at all right now. My question is, can you just use shampoo on hair and that alone will keep hair healthy? Is it healthier for hair to just use shampoo? Is conditioner necessary or does adding conditioner actually put your hair at more risk for hair loss? Is there any other hair product I should use on my hair to keep my hair healthy that I haven’t mentioned?

sam smith answers:

Conditioner is not really a must, but is great for every once in a while.
Do not shampoo your hair everyday, it can extract the natural oils in your hair. If your in sports or any physical activity then it is ok to shampoo daily to get the grim out.

Michael asks…

What are all essential to prevent hair fall?

is shampoo harmful? how many times can i use shampoo in a week?
P.S:i am a boy! my hair length will be approximately 5-7 cm

sam smith answers:

Your hair is what you eat. If you eat correctly and drink enough water, 80 percent of your hair problems are solved. Eat a healthy and a balanced diet rich in protein and minerals. Oil your hair regularly, include a lot of milk, almonds and greens in your diet and drink at least 12 to 14 glasses of water daily. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.

Lizzie asks…

is there anything i can do female hair loss due to malnutrition?

im 17 y/o female… i’m currently getting treatment for having anorexia… im eating now and i know i should be focusing on that but my hair is falling out in huge clumps and im afraid that eventually ill have nearly no hair….
so since im already eating which should help and its still falling out are there any special shampoos or anything i can use to also prevent hair loss?

sam smith answers:

Keep eating properly with lots of protein and vegetables. Something that would help you on avoiding hair loss and making your hair grow back and stronger is using Rosemary shampoo. This is great for strengthing hair and making it grow. Once you have it, add 5 spoons of honey to the shampoo bottle and let it rest for one day before using it. You could find this shampoo online or at organic grocery stores like Whole Foods. It’s not that expensive either and after the first week of use you will notice the results.

I wish you the best! ; )

Mary asks…

Can you suggest a good hair product to apply after washing hair?

Everybody says that you should apply a product containing almond, olive and jojoba oil every time after washing your hairs. I am having hair loss and my thick hair has become thin. So can you please suggest me one such hair product.
Also if you can suggest me some methods (natural) to prevent hair loss and get back thick hair, i will be very thankful of yours.

sam smith answers:

EVERYBODY? I don’t use or apply anything for MY HAIR.

I just shampoo, when my hair gets oily, and blow dry, then brush my hair, and I’m good to go.
I don’t even use conditioner, we have soft water. When traveling, I briefly rinse (last rinse) with bottled water.

Hair loss is caused by many things. It could also be a bad reaction to supplements since you don’t know what’s in them.no agency in the United States approve of them. Because of inadequate quality control and inspection, supplements contaminated with heavy metals, pesticides, or prescription drugs have been sold to unsuspecting consumers. And FDA rules covering manufacturing quality don’t apply to the companies that supply herbs, vitamins, and other raw ingredients.
Beginning in February 2008, they experienced one symptom after another: diarrhea, joint pain, hair loss, lung problems, and fingernails and toenails that fell off. FDA has received numerous reports of harm associated with the use of these products, including stroke, liver injury, kidney failure, heart palpitations, and death. 3-15-11. Chemicals can cause hair loss. How you style what product you use to style your hair, can cause hair loss. Know the cause, before you find solution, eliminate them, and your hair will improve.

Even HAIR OIL, can do more harm than good, to hair. There are more hair oil on the shelf now, than 30-40 years ago, and it’s because it is a billion dollar business! There are more hair loss now, too, than 30-40 years ago!

There are many hair oil brand out there, man-made oil, none is better than the other. It can very well even harm your hair, even causes hair loss, since you don’t know exactly what kind of oil they say it is. In the lab, they add other ingredients that can prevent from spoiling.
Read the labels if they state that it contains like for fish oil: “one or more of the following: Cod, English Whiting, Shark.”

It does NOT make hair grow, it does not make hair thicker, it does help keep the hair moisturized, that’s about all it does, they’re not glue to fix split ends or reverse the damaged hair. Anything else they say on the label, it is to attract your attention. It is a billion dollar business and they do not give money back guarantee for damaged hair or hair loss due to ‘abuse’.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of Maharashtra is ready to go on record saying that most manufacturers in the Rs 3,000-crore Indian cosmetics industry are rampantly misleading consumers with tall claims. This affliction goes beyond hair oils. FDA has found that from face creams to soaps and other items of personal care, cosmetics companies are taking the general public for a ride. The industry, of course, sees the whole issue differently.

If you’ve straightened your hair in the past, it may grow slowly or none at all.
Google: “Foods for Healthy Hair” – Your hair may be the fastest-growing tissue in the body but, unlike the skin, it cannot repair itself. That is why getting the right balance of vitamins and proteins is imperative. Don’t expect to look like you’ve stepped out of a hair commercial the day after you’ve changed your diet. It is likely to take at least three months before you actually see tangible results.

Growing healthy hair doesn’t come from a bottle or pills and hair products do not speed hair growth. Any hair oil, is another form to keep hair moisturized, nothing more. If you’re in HS, your hair & nails should be growing normally, and as healthily as possible, since you’re eating healthy foods. But when hair isn’t growing as fast, it’s because they’ve been tampered with: chemicals, hair straightening, etc. . .
The hair industry is a billion dollar business, they sell products that cleans & condition the hair. They also sell products that damage and causes hair loss. They also DO NOT give money back guarantee for damaged hair or hair loss due to ‘abuse’.

Your Questions About Hair Loss Tips For Women

by sam smith Leave a Comment

Steven asks…

Is there any women on here who has trouble with excessive hair loss?

I know everybodys hair sheds but mine is coming out by the handful. I’m 29 and my baby is 14 months old. I know women go through a shedding phase after birth but it should only last six months and mine won’t stop. I’ve cut my hair shoulder length for the first time in my life but that didn’t help any. The hair is all over my house and it just covers my bed from coming out during the night. I guess I’ve got to go see a doctor because something is causing it and I don’t know what to do about it. I was just hoping that if any women on this website had the same problem as me. If so, than maybe they can give me some tips on what to do.

sam smith answers:

You may need some progesterone cream. If you can find an Arbonne consultant, their progesterone cream is the best I’ve tried.

Also try telling your scalp and neck to relax. Neck and scalp tension cut off the circulation to your hair and can cause hair loss.

If you have a beauty school near you, go in and get a conditioning treatment with a scalp massage. Heaven!

Remind yourself during the day to relax. That has to be hard with a baby, but stress is hard for you and your hair.

Also, add some salmon or some omega 3 oil to your diet. You need that for healthy hair, and pregnancy may have depleted your system. You probably still need a good multivitamin, too.

Best of luck to you!

Mandy asks…

What woman can do if she suffers hair loss in her mid 30s?

I am 35 and I ‘ve noticed that evry time I comb I find many hairs in my comb, any medicines, herbs, tips?

sam smith answers:

Hi there,
If hair loss is on the scalp and not caused by any pathological condition like thyroid malfunction, anemia, radiation therapy, then it is a common inherited condition that is contributed by age – though it may appear at any age – this condition is called androgenetic alopecia

Since the present therapies produce temporary results, and as long you use them, it is better to understand what makes your hair in a healthy condition all the time.

Lisa asks…

How to get my bleached hair back to the way it used to be?

I dye my hair all the time. I’m a natural brunette but want to stay blonde. My hair used to be so soft, silky and overall healthy and now it’s so short and got short bits all in it, feels like barbie doll hair and falls out every time I brush it. I use special conditioners and hair condition but nothing seems to work, I love the color I just hate everything else. How do I get it back to the way it used to be but still staying blonde?

sam smith answers:

Frequent hair styling, coloring, bleaching, or perming can damage hair’s protective outer layer, known as the cuticle. The result is what we call “split ends.” Thankfully, there are hair products to help mend the damage. Look for conditioners that contain protein. They actually penetrate the hair shaft and repair split ends. The fix only lasts until the next shampoo, so you’ll need to use it regularly.

Thin, lifeless hair is one of the most common hair complaints, yet few women know the best remedy. Heavy conditioners just leave hair limp. A better bet is to use products with silicone, such as dimethicone or cyclomethicone. These coat the strands with a thin film, creating fuller hair that doesn’t look greasy. The silicone stays put even after you rinse.

Don’t believe that myth about 100 brush strokes a day. Too much brushing will snap off hairs. Some hair loss is normal — most people lose an average of 50 to 100 hairs every day. These are hairs that have stopped growing and have reached the resting stage. To minimize additional hair loss, use a brush with ball-tipped bristles and avoid brushing while the hair is wet.

For better hair days, the best thing you can do is — nothing. All the tugging, combing, brushing, drying, and chemically treating of hair damages the shafts. Even vigorous towel-drying can damage hair. If you have damaged hair, take a break from styling. As the damaged hair grows out, the new growth will be healthy.

Sandra asks…

What is the best and fastest way to grow your hair long?

I am a black women.

sam smith answers:

Treat your hair good!!! And no matter what, NOTHING, NO PRODUCT OR PILL will make your hair grow or grow faster. Human hair grows 6 inches every year (no more than that)!!! But it will appear to be growing faster if you take care of it and treat it right. Because its growth wont be stunted, breaking or thining.

I use “Just For Me” kids relaxer (Im 21, but Mixed, so I can’t use the strong adult African-American perms because they break my hair.) Its always better to use a weaker perm for your hair than a really strong one. A perm/relaxer that is too stong is the major cause in hair weakness, breakage & drying (its a sign of over-processing). I advise that you choose the best for you (Your Choice) but make sure its not too strong. Dont buy the strongest one on the market. Start weak and if you need to increase then do it next time around.

Use “Motions CPR” Conditioning Treatment EVERY week. After you wash your hair, use CPR, put a plastic cap on and sit under a hooded/bonnet hard-hat dryer for 10-15 mins, then wash it out. (This is Deep Conditioning) And this is the BEST thing you can do for weak, thin, dry or damaged hair… Hint *CPR (Critical Repair and Treatment). It really does seal you hair cuticles and flood them with protein and moisture. It repairs your hair and make it so much stronger and grow at the optimum rate. It also keeps your hair healthy even if it already is. It’s great!!!

That will stop the breakage and add moisture. The next thing you need is a Protein Restructurer. Perms/relaxers and other harsh treatments distroy the natural protein-bonds in our hair. This will not rebuild them, but it will resturure the bonds that you do have left. (Thats why its best to use a weaker perm because it doesnt cause as many bonds to break.) Motions has this also and it works really well to start restructuring your hair. Healthy hair will hold moisture better.

I get my hair straighten once every season (fall, winter, spring & summer) so thats also the same time I get my hair trimed. You need to trim your ends too. This is very important to slowly get rid of those dead/split ends which causes moisture lost. Split ends causes your hair to break, because it cant properly hold moisture, which causes your hair cutiles to open wider and break. This makes hair thin from the loss of stands and stunks hair growth. (Split Ends = Dry Hair and Broken Hair !!!)

* Make sure you are being kind to your ENDS, dont use curlers or flat irons unless absolutely nessary (use rollers more). Stay away from the blow-dryers (try to use sit-under dryers). General Rule, “Stay away from HEAT.”

You can find all of this at Sally’s and any Black hair store and most of it at Wal-Mart.

Also our hair is made of protein (all protein), so you may want to look into your diet and make sure you are getting enough. Taking a women’s multi-vitamin (or pre-natal) or Biotin everday will make sure you are getting enough of it, along with calcium which our hair also loves. You have to take care of your hair from the inside and out. Hair products take care of the outside. But you also have to check on the inside… Your diet! To make sure your hair has what it even needs to grow and thicken.

I hope I have helped.

Shampoo & Conditioner
cremeofnature dot com/ (Creme of Nature Shampoo & Conditioner all in one) It’s great.
* Dont use Detangling shampoos though (they are good but not what you need), always use Mosterizing shampoos.

If you need any more tips or how-to’s send me a note. Good Luck.

Your Questions About Prevent Hair Loss From Chemotherapy

by sam smith Leave a Comment

Sandy asks…

Please tell me urgently where I can purchase the cold cap used to prevent hair loss in chemotherapy in India?

We don’t have time to purchase it from USA or Europe. So maybe somewhere in India or South East Asia where it would be available.
I heard it is quite effective with the chemo drug Taxol & wish to try it out with my friend.
Also, you can give me any idea about the gel which is used & how the cap is made, how it works & functions. So we may be able to create a similar cap here in India.
Thanks & Regards.

sam smith answers:

Your asking your question in the section for the United States so it is doubtful you will find anyone here who knows about things sold in India.

John asks…

is it genetic or stress that causes hair loss?

im a regular 18 yr old kid (turning 19 in 2 weeks) and im experiencing hair loss last 8 months. Everyone on my dads side all lost their hair when they got older but i thought the hair issue came from the moms side? maybe i stressed out a little bit cuz of school and the family issue. anything i can do to prevent this?
my moms side is normal, no one loses their hair

sam smith answers:

Permanent hair loss is the result of genetic and hormonal factors. Hereditary baldness is the most common form. In fact, it is so common that many people think it is a normal part of the ageing process

Some causes of hair loss include:

1.Heredity – the effects of testosterone, the male sex hormone
2.Hormonal changes – such as thyroid disease, childbirth or use of the birth control pill
3.Alopecia areata – an autoimmune disorder
4.Medications – such as cancer chemotherapy or corticosteroids
5.Nervous habits – such as continual hair pulling or scalp rubbing
6.Rough handling – brushing too vigorously, tight rolling of hair curlers, over bleaching or the use of harsh dyes and chemicals
7.Burns or injuries
8.Tinea capitis (ringworm of the scalp)
9.Long-term illness, major surgery and high fever – may cause temporary hair loss.

James asks…

What are the herbal remedies to reduce hair fall? How to get thick, voluminous hair?

I had lovely thick and silky hair. But of late, I have been loosing a lot of hair. The roots have become very weak. I want to know if there are any simple tips to reduce my hair fall. I would also like to know which is the best shampoo and best hair oil i can use to keep my hair strong, healthy and thick.

sam smith answers:

After I went through chemotherapy, I got a supplement of vitamins and herbs to help my hair grow faster. It really seemed to work. Its called Supreme Vital Hair, and here is its website: http://www.lifetimevitamins.com/consumer/supreme.htm . It is also important to find out what is causing your hair to fall. Are you under a lot of stress? Are you getting proper nutrition and vtamins? If you can get to the root of your problem, no pun intended :-), you can also prevent hair loss.

Susan asks…

How can I prevent my hair from falling out?

My hair are falling out a lot. I need advice please.

sam smith answers:

Hair falling is mostly to do with diet, and many expert’s agree too.

Alopecia is the medical or technical name for hair loss. The loss of hair can occur on the scalp or on any part of the body that normally has hair, such as eyebrows or eyelashes. A certain amount of hair loss is normal. The average person normally sheds 50 to 100 hairs every day. The hair shed daily is not necessarily permanent hair loss. Most of the hair we shed grows back. All hairs have a life expectancy of three to six years. At any given time, some of our hair is growing, some is done growing and in the resting stage, and some is in the falling-out stage. Everyone sheds hair at about the same rate, but there are some people, through genetics, who have fewer new hairs that grow to replace those that shed. Pattern baldness or permanent hair loss is simply the result of genetic programming. Increased hair shedding, or temporary hair loss can be caused by a host of different reasons. Some of these reasons include poor nutrition and diet, genes, hormones, age, medications such as chemotherapy, radiation treatment, infections, stress, chemicals used for certain hairstyles, and rapid weight loss. Certain illnesses and diseases can also cause hair loss or hair shedding. Examples include anemia, low thyroid hormone levels, lupus, and sometimes cancer. In most of these cases, hair loss is not permanent.

Nutrition and Dietary Recommendations
Nutritional deficiencies can contribute to increased hair shedding by weakening hair shafts that cause breakage to the hair and slow regrowth. Hair problems that are caused by nutritional deficiencies can be corrected by a proper diet. Principal nutrients that are involved include vitamin A, certain B vitamins, the vitamin biotin, vitamin C, copper, iron, zinc, protein, and water.

Vitamin A
Adequate intake of vitamin A is vital in helping to promote the growth and health of cells and tissues throughout the body, including the hair and scalp. Prolonged vitamin A deficiency can lead to hair loss and dandruff caused by the buildup of cellular debris in the hair follicles. The daily intake of vitamin A for adults is 5,000 IU (international units). The body actually gets vitamin A in two ways: from plant sources in the form of carotenoids, such as beta carotene, that convert to vitamin A in the body. These sources include red, yellow, and orange fruits and vegetables as well as some dark green leafy vegetables. The body also gets vitamin A from animal sources in the form of retinol. Good animal sources include:

liver
fish oil
eggs
fortified milk
other foods fortified with vitamin A

Vitamin B6, Folic Acid, Vitamin B12
All three of these B vitamins are essential to the normal formation of red blood cells or the hemoglobin (iron-containing) portion of red blood cells. The primary function of hemoglobin is to carry oxygen from the lungs to tissues in the body, including the hair. Healthy and strong hair is dependent on a constant supply of blood and oxygen. A deficiency of these B vitamins can cause reduced blood and oxygen supply to the hair, leading to increased hair shedding, damaged hair, and slow regrowth. The reference daily intake of vitamin B6 is 2.0 milligrams per day for the average adult. The best sources of vitamin B6 are protein-rich foods such as:

chicken
fish
pork
liver
kidney
soybeans

Whole grains, cereals, nuts, and legumes also contain reasonable amounts.

The reference daily intake of folic acid is 400 micrograms for the average adult. Sources of folic acid include:

leafy vegetables
orange juice
avocado
beets
broccoli
brewer’s yeast
liver
wheat germ
some fortified cereals

Most enriched grain products, such as bread, flour, rice, macaroni, and noodles, must be fortified with folic acid.

The reference daily intake of vitamin Bl2 is 6.0 micrograms for the average adult. B12 is found mostly in animal foods such as:

meat
fish
poultry
eggs
milk
other dairy foods

Donald asks…

How to prevent hair fall for teens?

I’m 17, male . And my hair is falling too much.
1 month before I consulted a doctor and he gave me minoxidil tropical solution USP 5% which I pour 1ml 2 times a day with a tablet called finalo which is to be taken 1 time .
So what could be the reason of my hair fall.

sam smith answers:

Alopecia is loss of hair. Hair loss can be caused by different reasons, including damage to the hair shaft or follicles. Fungal infections can also cause hair loss.
There are two main types of alopecia. When the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks hair follicles and causes hair to fall out, it’s called alopecia areata. Hair can fall out in patches all over the body. Androgenetic alopecia, on the other hand, is a kind of hair loss that’s inherited. Hair on the head thins and falls out. In men, this is called male pattern hair loss; in women, it is called female diffuse hair loss.
About 60% of people with andro-genetic alopecia are men. Hair loss caused by androgenetic alopecia is permanent.
Signs and Symptoms:
Symptoms of alopecia may include:
Male pattern hair loss: Thinning or complete loss of hair at the hairline and top of the head.
Female diffuse hair loss: A gradual thinning of hair, especially on the top of the head. The hairline usually stays the same.
Alopecia areata: Broken hairs, or hairs easily removed; one or more round or oval bald patches.
What Causes It?
Causes may include:
Aging / Genetics / Illness / Some medications, such as chemotherapy / Malnutrition / Autoimmune disorder, in the case of alopecia areata
What to Expect at Your Provider’s Office:
Usually your doctor can diagnose andro-genetic alopecia by examining you and taking a medical history. If your health care provider suspects alopecia areata, the health care provider may order a fluorescent antinuclear antibody (FNA) test, which can help determine if there is a problem with your immune system.
Treatment Options:
Treatment depends on the type of alopecia you have. With many temporary forms of alopecia, hair will grow back without treatment. For people with alopecia areata, medications may help reduce hair loss. Some men with male pattern hair loss may consider surgery, such as hair transplants, scalp reduction, and strip or flap grafts.
Contact a qualified Homeopath for a proper remedy.
